5.0 out of 5 starsGood product at a fantastic price
Reviewed in Australia on 5 June 2019
This air purifier does a great job to clean a bedroom’s air from allergens and dust. This seems to be a rebranded popular Levoit one used from Amazon US to work on 230/240volt electricity. Replacement filters currently can be found by searching for “LV-132 Replacement filter”.

I used a power meter and at the lowest setting it is ultra quiet (can barely hear it) and uses only 16 watts. At medium setting it sounds like a desk fan and uses 26 watts. At the highest setting it sounds like a desk fan on a high setting and uses 48-52 watts.

Note: Before first use, you need to open the bottom of it and take off the plastic wrapping protecting the air filter!

Bloody Noses
3.0 out of 5 starsNot as quiet as other reviewers claim but overall decent product.
Reviewed in Australia on 13 February 2020
My 3/5 is simply because it's a 'good' product, it doesn't have any particular stand out features in particular.

First and foremost we should talk about the noise and where in my own house i've put it. So it recommends 40cm of space all round which is no problem I have a table at the end of my 5m x 4.2m bedroom and I put it on that table's corner with nothing around it. On the smallest fan speed (it has 3) it's bearable during the day but quite loud at night when there's no external noises to deal with. I would say that it's about the same as putting my big dyson bladeless dc fan on it's low/medium settings downstairs in our living room. It's audible and very much so. Not sure if it's much of a measure to go by but even during the day with the door open (and as it stands it's within 1m of my open door directly I can go out into the hall which leads straight on with no curves and hear it right at the end possibly 10m+ away. That's on 1. For example it's lightly raining in Sydney right now and I have it on at its lowest setting but I can't hear the rain on my roof, but the bird calls are coming through the white noise no problem.

On 3 I can hear it from downstairs. So idk if the other reviewers run blow driers all day but it's nowhere near as silent as they claim. That being said I've been worked like a mule this week and I did actually manage to fall asleep with it on but honest to god I would've knocked off even with a rock band playing downstairs.

It doesn't make any rackets or weird noises, it's just the wind noise which speaks of its quality. You'd probably be hard pressed to find a similar product in Australia under $200 with the same spec sheet as this. One thing I have to admit is that regardless of the 'silence' it works. My neighbors recently had their first child and its bedroom is right next to mine almost, it cries at 1-3-5-6am so I can no longer sleep with my windows open and by habit I sleep with my door closed too. Without this on in the morning there's no difference between a field of manure and the air in my room. This entire week of trying this filter the air is still a little stuffy because in the end it's the same thing rotated through a few thousand times over night but it's extremely noticeable improvement. No odor, and it breathes super easily. I change my own car's hepa filter because it's easy and saves a few hundred every time in service fees and the one in this unit looks just as great, goes from fine dust mesh, to hepa air filter to something like charcoal hexagonal pods. Considering the price and also the availability of replacement filters this is a heck of deal.

So we've done one negative and one positive, no it's not nearly as quiet as you'd hope even on it's lowest setting but yes you can sleep to the white noise if necessary and YES it works.

Let's talk about what you get for $200. A (so far) quality unit with no noises other than airflow, plastic tube body and overall decent design but quite bulky definitely no metal anywhere to be seen. A blue night light that is near useless (for me at least) that turns on every time you turn it off and on again (super annoying). You get a filtration cartridge that's INCREDIBLY easy to remove and relatively cheap to replace. But that's it. No smart features, I hooked it up to one of my smart plugs thinking I could get it to switch on and off but it doesn't have any onboard memory to remember the previous settings before the last power off thus the blue night light turning on every time. Considering what the competition has been able to do for years in terms of remote access, schedule tuning and timing this thing is excessively primitive and manual.

Before purchasing it I had thought that for $200 it was a great deal and for some it is, but the overall lack of features can be a turn off for some. That being said I can see this as being a great unit for those that prefer pressing buttons over 'smart' features.

I bought this product after having a horrible time with my asthma living in an old apartment.
The air purifier is life changing and has made sleeping better and my asthma much easier to manage, I wish I’d bought one sooner.
This brand is quiet on the lowest setting

3.0 out of 5 stars Too noisy, and no way to turn all LEDs Off if you like to sleep in the dark
Reviewed in Australia on 6 February 2021

Purchased this air purifier based on reviews, if you use the lowest fan speed then noise isn't an issue, but speed is too low to make any difference. As 2nd and 3rd speed settings are both too loud, specially 3rd (max speed). In addition, you can run the night light on top off, but there is no way to run the LEDs off if you like to sleep in the dark, and provided button are on top covering them isn't an option with the fan outlet blowing air from top side.

4.0 out of 5 stars Still noisy to sleep with it on. But great portable unit for small rooms.
Reviewed in Australia on 3 February 2020

I like the unit, small enough for my 5 x 5 meter room to be very effective over 20 minutes in reducing particles from 150 down to 14. Though the 3 settings, the sound db measures like the following. 40, 46, 55. I was hoping the lowest setting was enough to still go to sleep. But unfortunately 40 db is still too loud.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value, not quite silent
Reviewed in Australia on 28 July 2020
Size Name: 1PackColour Name: WhiteVerified Purchase
Great value device, lovely form factor.
Slight concerns first:
Not silent on the lowest setting, it's more like the sound that eg a computer fan makes. We felt more comfortable moving it one room away from where we sleep, which is a shame.
Slight niggles on the ease-of-use front:
* Power off + power on turns the night light on (even if it was off before).
* Buttons make a loud beep, which is particularly inappropriate for the night-light button!
Overall, very happy with this and considering getting another for downstairs.
It's really satisfying to put the fan on max speed for a few hours after I vacuum the carpeted areas of the house around it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Seems to work well

I cannot honestly tell how effective this product is. It seems to be working ok. It is quite loud, even on the lowest setting but it is easy enough to sleep - like white noise, it’s just a constant hum. Louder than a ceiling fan though. Neat unit, easily portable from room to room.
