5.0 out of 5 starsGood product at a fantastic price
Reviewed in Australia on 5 June 2019
This air purifier does a great job to clean a bedroom’s air from allergens and dust. This seems to be a rebranded popular Levoit one used from Amazon US to work on 230/240volt electricity. Replacement filters currently can be found by searching for “LV-132 Replacement filter”.

I used a power meter and at the lowest setting it is ultra quiet (can barely hear it) and uses only 16 watts. At medium setting it sounds like a desk fan and uses 26 watts. At the highest setting it sounds like a desk fan on a high setting and uses 48-52 watts.

Note: Before first use, you need to open the bottom of it and take off the plastic wrapping protecting the air filter!

Bloody Noses
3.0 out of 5 starsNot as quiet as other reviewers claim but overall decent product.
Reviewed in Australia on 13 February 2020
My 3/5 is simply because it's a 'good' product, it doesn't have any particular stand out features in particular.

First and foremost we should talk about the noise and where in my own house i've put it. So it recommends 40cm of space all round which is no problem I have a table at the end of my 5m x 4.2m bedroom and I put it on that table's corner with nothing around it. On the smallest fan speed (it has 3) it's bearable during the day but quite loud at night when there's no external noises to deal with. I would say that it's about the same as putting my big dyson bladeless dc fan on it's low/medium settings downstairs in our living room. It's audible and very much so. Not sure if it's much of a measure to go by but even during the day with the door open (and as it stands it's within 1m of my open door directly I can go out into the hall which leads straight on with no curves and hear it right at the end possibly 10m+ away. That's on 1. For example it's lightly raining in Sydney right now and I have it on at its lowest setting but I can't hear the rain on my roof, but the bird calls are coming through the white noise no problem.

On 3 I can hear it from downstairs. So idk if the other reviewers run blow driers all day but it's nowhere near as silent as they claim. That being said I've been worked like a mule this week and I did actually manage to fall asleep with it on but honest to god I would've knocked off even with a rock band playing downstairs.

It doesn't make any rackets or weird noises, it's just the wind noise which speaks of its quality. You'd probably be hard pressed to find a similar product in Australia under $200 with the same spec sheet as this. One thing I have to admit is that regardless of the 'silence' it works. My neighbors recently had their first child and its bedroom is right next to mine almost, it cries at 1-3-5-6am so I can no longer sleep with my windows open and by habit I sleep with my door closed too. Without this on in the morning there's no difference between a field of manure and the air in my room. This entire week of trying this filter the air is still a little stuffy because in the end it's the same thing rotated through a few thousand times over night but it's extremely noticeable improvement. No odor, and it breathes super easily. I change my own car's hepa filter because it's easy and saves a few hundred every time in service fees and the one in this unit looks just as great, goes from fine dust mesh, to hepa air filter to something like charcoal hexagonal pods. Considering the price and also the availability of replacement filters this is a heck of deal.

So we've done one negative and one positive, no it's not nearly as quiet as you'd hope even on it's lowest setting but yes you can sleep to the white noise if necessary and YES it works.

Let's talk about what you get for $200. A (so far) quality unit with no noises other than airflow, plastic tube body and overall decent design but quite bulky definitely no metal anywhere to be seen. A blue night light that is near useless (for me at least) that turns on every time you turn it off and on again (super annoying). You get a filtration cartridge that's INCREDIBLY easy to remove and relatively cheap to replace. But that's it. No smart features, I hooked it up to one of my smart plugs thinking I could get it to switch on and off but it doesn't have any onboard memory to remember the previous settings before the last power off thus the blue night light turning on every time. Considering what the competition has been able to do for years in terms of remote access, schedule tuning and timing this thing is excessively primitive and manual.

Before purchasing it I had thought that for $200 it was a great deal and for some it is, but the overall lack of features can be a turn off for some. That being said I can see this as being a great unit for those that prefer pressing buttons over 'smart' features.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clearing the Canberra bushfire air
Reviewed in Australia on 17 January 2020
Size Name: 1PackColour Name: WhiteVerified Purchase
I have to admit I ordered this product because it was the only one I could get delivered quickly and I was really suffering from Canberra’s current hazardous smoky air from the numerous bushfires blazing in NSW.

It is great, in about a day, I went from wheezing and coughing (even though I was staying inside or wearing masks when I went out) almost back to normal. A week later I feel great - I have not turned the machine off since I bought it, and it is going strong. At first I moved it around the house to clear the air, but now I keep it in the bedroom. It is portable and priced reasonably for a true hepa air purifier and has a night light which I’m actually finding useful when I get up at night.

I have already recommended it to other friends who are having similar issues to me. Also delivery was earlier than promised which I greatly appreciated.

Wonderful product, I love this item so far. Not too big not small. It has night light with two setting brightness and 3 fan speed. I was impressed with getting rid of allergens.

4.0 out of 5 stars Compact Air Purifier
Reviewed in Australia on 17 April 2020
Size Name: 1PackColour Name: WhiteVerified Purchase
I've been using this air purifier on and off for 4 months now. It's relatively compact in size (only a little bigger than an American football, if that helps), and it's white, so it doesn't stand out too much in the room. It has three speeds, and I can definitely hear it on the highest speed, and still a bit on the middle one, but I forget that it's running on the lowest speed. It also has a blue light on the top that you can turn on bright, low, or off. I guess you can have it as a night light, but I just turn it off every time. I really do like the air purifier, and I think it's improving the air in my apartment. However, I'm unable to say how effective it really is, since I don't have a home air quality tester.

4.0 out of 5 stars Seems to do the trick
Reviewed in Australia on 14 October 2019

After running for 10 days straight in bedroom this is how much dust the filter had caught. Not sure if I'm sleeping better as a result or whether allergy responses are decreased but getting this much dust out of the air must be a good thing. I leave it on number setting 2 during the day and 1 during the night. Can hardly hear it running.

The only things I'd change is for the button lights to go out completely after 20 seconds or so (and have a proximity sensor so they light up when you get close) as you can notice the light from the buttons in a dark room. Optional coloured enclosures would be cool too.

Quiet and easy to use, great to use with the terrible air quality in Australia right now. Love the night light feature as I pretty much bought it for the baby. Would be great if it had a particle count display like Dyson.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too noisy, and no way to turn all LEDs Off if you like to sleep in the dark

Purchased this air purifier based on reviews, if you use the lowest fan speed then noise isn't an issue, but speed is too low to make any difference. As 2nd and 3rd speed settings are both too loud, specially 3rd (max speed). In addition, you can run the night light on top off, but there is no way to run the LEDs off if you like to sleep in the dark, and provided button are on top covering them isn't an option with the fan outlet blowing air from top side.

5.0 out of 5 stars defiantly clears the nasal passages for better sleep

I brought an Aldi one before this one arrived and I didn't notice that one to work. I have a deviated septum and it really opened up my air ways, I really noticed the difference when I woke up during the night. my nasal passage was clear and not blocked up!!! definitely recommend if that is what you are looking for.
yes it does have noise but I also like white noise vibe.
yes the light on top is very bright but you can turn it down (still really bright) or turn it off. I would've like a different colour light, I don't get why blue is on everything, it should be a soothing colour (but that's me being super picky)

4.0 out of 5 stars Does a great job overall

I've had the Arovec for half a year now and it has done a great job of reducing dust buildup in my room.

It's very easy to use and reasonably cheap to buy a new filter for it every now and again. The noise levels are quieter then I expected and I keep it on medium 24/7 with no issues.

The only issue I have is the light it emits. While you get to turn the inner light off, the buttons are permanently lit up and make the room a bit brighter at night. Though this issue is only minor for me, others who sleep in pitch black may want to cover the buttons.

Overall very happy with my purchase.

I bought this air purifier to limit dust in my sons rooms as he has dust mite allergies, and even regularly cleaning doesn’t help alleviate his symptoms. We’ve been using the air purifier for over 2 weeks now, and dust has been minimised and his symptoms are less severe. The night light isn’t too bright and the low fan speed setting is soothing enough that it doesn’t bother him at all.
