United Kingdom released, Blu-Ray/Region B DVD: LANGUAGES: English ( Dolby Digital Stereo ), SPECIAL FEATURES: Biographies, Booklet, Box Set, Collectors Edition, Interactive Menu, Multi-DVD Set, Production Notes, Remastered, Scene Access, SYNOPSIS: Subject is AIRWOLF-a mach one plus attack helicopter with the most advanced weapons system in the air today. It has been hidden somewhere in the western United States by it's test pilot Stringfellow Hawke (Jan-Michael Vincent). Hawke has promised to return AIRWOLF only if we can find his brother St John, an MIA in Vietnam. We suspect that Archangel, Deputy Director of the agency, that built AIRWOLF is secretly helping Hawke in return for Hawke's flying AIRWOLF on missions of national concern. Stringfellow Hawke is 34, a brilliant combat pilot and a recluse since his brother's disappearance. His only friend is Dominic Santini (Ernest Borgnine), whose air service is the cover for their government work. With Hawke and Santini flying as a team, at speeds rivalling the fastest jets, matched by unmatched firepower, AIRWOLF is too dangerous to be left in unenlightened hands. Finding it is your first priority.....' Ride along with guest stars Shannen Doherty (Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed), David Carradine (Kung Fu) and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) on all 55 episodes, including the thrilling two hour pilot episode of this amazing action packed series. Brings back memories of when I was a teen, every teenagers I knew must be in-love with Jan-Michael Vincent.
The Blue-ray arrived in excellent condition, re-mastered with crystal clear quality and fast delivery.
Expensive but glad to have owned it.

When the box arrived it was damaged but the individual series inside were not so instead of sending back kept as the discs work perfectly, all 3 discsets include booklet with episode guide for each story for the 3 series.
We have Jan Michael Vincent as Stringfellow Hawke with Ernest Borgnine as Dominic Santini who are sent on a mission by Alex Cord aka Archangel to recover an experimental aircraft that has been stolen by its creator for nasty means.
When Stringfellow Hawke recovers Airwolf he keeps her hostage when Archangel thinks that both Hawke and Dom could do secret missions using the helicopter, String says he will give her back only when his brother St John is found and not before so therein starts the missions to help people in trouble or stop those who want power by any means necessary.
The second series brings in Jean Bruce Scott as Cailtin who comes on board and works within the team who also gets to fly Airwolf as well and be involved with missions for Archangel's FIRM.
The first 3 series are truly the best and show this wonderful piece of machinery at her finest when she is either flying high in the sky on her own or battling other aircraft, plus the music that goes with these sequences is truly spectacular and is one of the components missing when the 4th series aired without the original cast of the show that made it so popular.
This is one 80s show that I hope never gets remade by anybody in Hollywood today as they have ruined so many classic shows from that time already, you can't recreate magic and chemistry, there was a reason why it is so iconic and that is down to the actors Jan Michael Vincent, Ernest Borgnine, Jean Bruce Scott and Alex Cord another reason why season 4 failed, original cast no longer there and people who were not good actors apart from Barry Van Dyke.
I recommend for anyone wanting to relive those days back in the 80s and fed up of shows today or for those who would like to watch something that is enjoyable and not crude.
The things that stand out - no CGI, nobody has mobile phones, and Airwold never runs out of fuel or ammo!
The writers missed an opportunity, too - in the last epi of the last series, there was the opening for String to ask Kate to marry him, as they obviously both fancied each other.
