This is not because of the product I got confused and bought this mini hdmi to hdmi when for my camera (canon m50) I needed a micro hdmi to hdmi and then I didn't even end up using an hdmi cable I just used usb. Refund process was easy I just put it back inside the box it came in printed the return label, stuck the big one on the outside over the old one and placed the small one inside and dropped it off at post office. You live and you learn I guess. Cable quality is fine and 3ft is definitely long enough, in my experience. All in all if you know you actually need this then it should be fine.
