Wasn't too enamoured by her previous book 'Nine Perfect Strangers'; favourite book of hers is 'What Alice Forgot'
This is the extremely tedious story of a family of unlikeable people where the mother disappears.
I can't finish it because I really don't care what happened to her.
I tried to get interested and skipped ahead to see if it got better.
I have always finished books - even ones I don't like - until now.
- It is a bit of a slow burn (long book at 467 pages)
- A lot of people think the ending is a little disappointing...I'll leave that up to you
- A lot of people say it's over written and bit pointless
- I'm kind of on the fence with this book, it was okay for me
Would I recommend this?
- Hard to say, I'm not sure what you like but it was okay. If you're unsure, just borrow it
It was totally boring especially the last few chapters. I felt like throwing the book out trying to finish it.!!
