Attached: Identify your attachment style and find your perfect match Kindle Edition
We now know that the desire to become attached to a partner is a natural human drive. And according to the new science of attachment, every person behaves in relationships in one of three distinct ways:
1) ANXIOUS people are often preoccupied with their relationships and tend to worry about their partner's ability to love them back.
2) AVOIDANT people equate intimacy with a loss of independence and constantly try to minimise closeness.
3) SECURE people feel comfortable with intimacy and are usually warm and loving.
Dr Amir Levine and Rachel Heller help you understand the three attachment styles, identify your own and recognise the styles of others so that you can find compatible partners or improve your existing relationship. Packed with fascinating psychology and case studies from successful - and unsuccessful - couples you can discover how to avoid the Anxious-Avoidant trap, why Secures can partner any type and how to love the Secure way.
Attached is your road map to the perfect match and lasting love.

This fantastic book helped free me and take that authentic leap i so badly desired. I openly told my partner what i needed for me to be happy in our relationship. Although i knew he may not accept it and honour my needs, i felt proud of myself for being true to both of us! Now, we have started communicating much more openly, effectively and authentically with eachother. Because of this new clear communication, we both know where we stand and what we need and have built a much more robust relationship as a result. No more guessing games and insecurities!
Today, I feel freed up from that stifling fear of abandonment and way more courageous as an individual and in my relationships!
Thank you Amir Levine! You are a God-send!
Attached has helped me identify and address problems that I have had had with relationships
This book was given to me by my new partner and I have never felt so connected as I do with her
I purchased these copies to help my friends who I see now struggle with finding a new partner
There are two areas that I would really like to see addresed in a new edition: a) the dynamics that arise in relationships between two anxious attachment style people, and b) while the book emphasizes that many people have characteristics from more than one attachment style, it does not explore the particulr issues relating to such people in relationships.
