This is a brilliantly funny story of a rabbit and a bear who discover that things are always better when they're shared with a friend.
Splash! A mysterious thing lands in Rabbit and Bear's peaceful summer lake.
Is it exciting or terrifying? Is it a tiny fluffy owl or a huge hungry monster? And has Rabbit finally met a creature with worse habits than himself?
Rabbit's sure he can solve this mystery. But when he accidentally turns the best day ever into the worst day ever, he needs Bear's help....
From novelist and playwright Julian Gough and the winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize Jim Field, this is a tale of friendship, acceptance and what you can do with blueberry poo.

We love these books, so funny with positive messages and a keen understanding of anxieties that children face. They each address a different problem and gave helped my kids understand their emotions whilst really laughing and enjoying the wonderful illustrations. Highly recommend the whole series.

Some laugh out loud moments, for adults and kids. Wonderful story, gorgeous rounded characters. We love, love, love Woodpecker.
The stories in all three of the Rabbit and Bear books are so original and yet so familiar. They're instant classics.
My six year old can't wait for the next one and I agree. As Woodpecker would say "more, more, more, please, please, please".

My kids (ages 6 & 5) just love this series (as do I!). This 3rd book doesn't disappoint...it's laugh-out-loud funny, yet with a good moral wound into the story too. We read it over and over.

A good read for adult and child

My 6 yr old grandson absolutely loves this and I had to read it numerous times to him over half term. It is a fun read, especially if you are up for giving the characters different voices. Touches of humour to entertain adults as well. It would be beyond most 6 year olds to read it themselves.
