When I read Michael’s first book (which I only discovered this year), I was taken on a journey through his writing, laughing and crying. I was so thrilled to find out he was releasing another book pre-ordered and waited somewhat patiently. I couldn’t wait to continue reading after I had to do life stuff. Thank you for sharing your journey Michael, come back to Australia ASAP! Health and happiness to you and your family.

I can’t comment on this I’m afraid, as it’s part of the BFF’s hubby’s Xmas present. I do know he’ll like it though, as Michael McIntyre is a particular favourite of his, plus he loves autobiographies. Plus I like giving books as presents…they’re so much easier to wrap!

I loved this book so much I read it too fast. It's so interesting, honest and funny that I had to stop myself reading it all in one go. It's a brilliant insight into the mind of a comedian and fascinating to discover what was going on in his head during his meteoric rise to success. I wish I could find another book as enjoyable as this to fill its place.

What a lovely tribute to Addison as well - the world of comedy must be a sadder place without his energy and vision.

Audio books are Michael’s new vocation

Michael McIntyre brings this wonderful autobiography to life with the kindle version that has his voice on the audio version. His incredible talent for voices and acting the character of a person brought this book, his story, totally to life, in a way that made me desperate to meet and know these people myself. The voice and acting of his agent Addison not only made me feel my life was lesser for never knowing the man, but also made me feel so happy whenever he turned up or rang up. Everything he said and did was Gold!
This audio book has made me realise several things. 1. Michael’s vocation is in doing audio books. As well as his comedy of course! He completely brings the story and characters to life.
2. Michael should be testing out acting in films. In fact Michael if the comedy and light entertainment world ever becomes too much for you, trust me when i say, you can act boy!!
3. For Michael to bring a character to life so much that in the audio book that you feel you love the guy and you can’t wait to see what he says and does next, is just beautiful. In fact Michael does this with several of the wonderful people in his life, who he depicted so fabulously.
4. Michael’s honesty in his autobiography is very endearing. After reading this book (or rather listening to Michael reading) i feel now i will always know him better and always be rooting for him in whatever he does in life.
5. I highly recommend doing the audio version with Michael reading, above reading it yourself. I KNOW, the characters would not have been the same without his intimate knowledge of them and fabulous acting, voice mimicking etc.
6. Finally, Michael if Kitty is reading this review to you. It is ok, you can open your eyes now. It is all good.
I listened to your book in 2 days. My ears couldn’t put it down.

Loved this book. Made me laugh out loud. I read my Kindle at night and it was hard not to wake everyone up with me laughing. As I was reading I could hear Michael's voice and the way he tells a funny story. Really enjoyed.

After reading Michael’s first book I just knew instantly that I had to purchase his latest instalment of his life. He has such a lovely way of introducing the people in his life into his books that you actually feel you are with him. Going through his thoughts and feelings. He has a comedic view on every aspect of his life and the most hilarious situations happen to him. I didn’t want this book to end and I spent many nights giggling my head off, constantly waking my husband sleeping next to me whilst reading into the early hours.

He is a true comedy legend and I cried when I read the sad news of Addison’s passing, but through this book Addison’s character will live on.

I’m scrolling through Amazon kindle books…I’m lost now with what next to read, how is any book supposed to follow Michael’s comedic genius book I’ve just finished!!!
