5.0 out of 5 stars The Kelly legend is now dead
By Scrutineer on 19 April 2022
This book is long overdue. It corrects the legend about Ned Kelly that everything that went wrong in his life was the fault of the police, and that the police he murdered got what they deserved. Kieza also expands on the role of black trackers in the Kelly hunt. These poor exploited men were somehow persuaded to turn against their own people and assist in hunting them down in the Queensland bush and massacre them. In Victoria they didnt manage to track the Kelly Gang down but their presence added to Ned Kellys paranoia and sense of desperation.
