I feel like this one is exposing a little bit to much of an adult life.
Examples: mum left dad and son for a rich gangster and drinks a lot, dad is very poor they can’t afford food and live in a very bad conditions, auntie is telling her nephew about her feelings for a female vicar and how she has never been kissed 🤯
Personally I think 9 year old shouldn’t be reading about stuff like this.
Just be aware that that’s what they will be reading about in this book.

In terms of the product, it was delivered promptly just in time for her birthday. And the hardcover finish on the book is nice.
Definitely recommend this for young readers.
