4.0 out of 5 starsReally Great

I absolutely love Asher and Briar!
This is a really great start to this group of characters and I can't wait for more.
I loved their relationship, the push and pull and aaaaallllll the angst.

The *only* thing I really wished was that Briar was a smidge older. Like in the very beginning she is 14 and Asher is 17. I get that nothing *major* happened, and I feel like the relationship is very believable at this age (Based on my own recollection of teens at that age), but I would have felt slightly less icky if Briar had been even 15.
Throughout the book I just kept wondering why she was 17 and not 18. I think it would have been absolutely perfect if Briar had *just* been that one year older.

3.0 out of 5 starsDecent read

This was more like a 3.5 star read. I loved that the heroine wasn’t waiting around for the hero, and actually tried to move on with her life, but I did find the hero a little too passive for my liking (why I couldn’t rate it higher). Not a fan of heroes who stay away for reasons (and sulk) and it takes a third party to tell them what to do before going after the heroine. Dare was right to call him what he did…but the hero and heroine got their HEA in the end so I guess that’s that.

When I started this book I just knew that I wouldn’t be able to put this book down. This book draws you in like no other. It’s full of so much angst.

What charleigh rose has created is something powerful and amazing. I loved every god damn second of it and I am left wanting more. This couple will no doubt consume you wholeheartedly.

Everything in this book just Blends so well together and this author couldn’t have done a better job. It’s a love/hate chemistry between the characters and we also see the brokenness that these characters have.

It’s full of so much emotion, heartbreak, sexual chemistry and connection. It has so much angst and it has such amazing secondary characters that I am really hoping we get books for. Everything about this intrigued and consumed me.

Briar is so intriguing and she is a female character who I love and she couldn’t be more perfect for the brooding , dark, sexy , dirty talker Asher. Asher is mighty fine and no matter how flawed or broken he is when he cares he cares deeply.

There is seriously no words for this book that I can say other then pick up this book and read it , you won’t be disappointed.

Let me just start by saying that this book had me hooked right from the start. It was such a great but emotional read!

Asher is drawn to Briar, even though he knows he shouldn't be. He shouldn't be because, One....being the difference in age and another being that he thinks he is too screwed up to have her. Also she is his best friends little sister!
Briar has been infatuated with Asher since forever! Even though she knew he was a troubled soul, she wanted him like nothing else. Then one day he just disappears, only to turn up 3 years later even more cruel than before. They are drawn to each other even more than they were before, so what will happen?

Briar is a loveable character who will do anything for her family and friends, she wears her heart on her sleeve. Asher is fighting my current book boyfriend for the number one title (sorry Vicious). They are followed closely by Dare, I hope I get to read his story soon! Anyway, Asher is dark and brooding, but also a total sweetheart! I just love him! The characters together have undeniable chemistry.
This book made me cry....full on cry actually! But that's ok because I absolutely love reading a book that can pull those kind of emotions from me! I just loved this story and I think you will too!

Great story not only to get me back to physically reading again, but also the first book I read on my Kindle and I loved it.
Asher was my favourite character I love his bad boy vibe and his sexiness, all his angst was so attractive.
Charleigh's writing style was amazing for me and I'm glad I chose to read her book first on my kindle, I smiled, I got tingles, I giggled and I cried, I got all the feels with this book and I'm glad I chose it as my top book of 2019 xx

Charleigh Rose you did it! There was a lot of hype for this much anticipated book and usually those things go over board and the book isn’t quite what you hoped for. This still does it. Asher had soo much anger radiating of him for half the book and it wasn’t until the revelation that he finally let it go and let his love for Briar shine through. Briar has soo much heart and love for Asher it was beautiful. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Loved these characters, loved the story, loved the whole book. Found it so, so hard to put down. I actually read Bad Intentions first, which I absolutely fell in love with, and so I had to read Asher and Briar's story. Sooo glad I did. Looking forward to reading more!!!

I loved Asher and Briar! This was such an addictive forbidden romance that it had me on the edge of my seat! I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop (ie. They get found out!) and when it did, I adored the way Asher stood tall and declared his love for Briar! Swoooonnnn!!!!!
