To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Best part was the price. To me it looked like when you pull a t-shirt or night wear over your head and can just see out. It has a rumpled look that ends above your shoulders--not something I'd wear to the grocery store... And, something I haven't had happen before--it got stuck on the exhaust of the dryer which caused bright pink circles burned into the fabric like an unattractive rash on the side that stuck to the dryer.
Not for skiing. Despite the name “winter” and “ski” in the title, this does nothing to protect you from the cold. The material is literally paper thin and air (and cold wind) passes through it like it’s not even there.
This is not what I expected. I could have gotten the same results by cutting a hole in a woman's stocking! Very thin and offering little insulating value. It is also very large. I'll give it a try tomorrow on my side by side and see it it really works. If it does not, it will be returned. I'll report back.
This balaclava smells pretty bad out of the plastic package but cleans up easily. The material is thin, making it easy to breath through. It feels warm enough though I imagine that if you start sweating in it, any protection from the cold would be minimal at best. Otherwise, this should provide a decent light protection from wind and cold weather.
I am skeptical when a product claims 'one-size-fits-all.' I seldom find that to be true. However, in this case the product fit over even my huge head. Remarkably comfortable, as well. I could have worn this product for several hours and be toasty warm without choking or binding.
I purchased this balaclava hoping that other reviews were accurate, concerning the material thickness. I own several other balaclavas for the cold winter, in which they are fairly thick. I wanted one that was thin that could be worn for the fall and this one was perfect. I am thankful I ordered two.
It fits well, not too tight or too loose. I have a rather large “noggin” too. I don’t know how well these will hold up. Only time will tell, but they do seem to be stitched good.
Good product. Fabric is thin, but keeps the cold air off my face, ears and neck. Most importantly, it keeps the very cold air out of my lungs. I am in Atlanta, so the temperature is not extremely cold, but I use this when the temperature is in the 30s and I am very pleased. I use a wool cap on top if there is a lot of wind.
I bought this for fall (and spring) activities when it is a bit cool, but not cold. Great color selection. Thin enough to not be too hot, yet still covers. Did a great job of protecting the covered parts of my face from sun glare recently. Works adequately as a mask when in line.
