my first belkin mount broke after 2 years, this is my second

it works best, but i was hoping that it would last more than 2 years...first purchase from harvey norman was bit disappointing as it just fell off with broken pieces and they didnt offer me a replacement so wanted not to go back to them atleast....i liked it quite a lot so just bought the same thing again...it works very well, very convenient, hold the phone best on the wind screen, make and built is also great

Broken within days.

Suction cap broke away from the base of the arm 3 days after installing and it didn't even have the phone mounted on it nor was it subjected to any force. I don't mean it became unstuck; The actual base of the suction cap tore away while the cap itself remained on the window. Not sure if mine was a dud or this is an issue for all of them but I cannot recommend.

Bought this for my other half as I have been using one for about 18 months. The whole thing is very sturdy and usually stays in place, though it can detach from the windscreen in hot weather. I have not been able to make the self-adhesive stand work in any location (it would probably adhere well to glass, but that misses the point). The range of movement available on the holder itself is very good, and the grip on the device is very secure. I have used it in my regular daily drive, my classic car and in a light aircraft. Overall, a quality product.

I was a little skeptical about the lack of a locking mechanism but its been a few months now and my phone is yet to fall out completely. It does move bit hasn't fallen mid drive yet. My phone isn't that heavy but I've angled the holder slightly upwards to keep the phone secure. It doesn't shift about this way.

Adhesion to the window is fine, I've left it in place for about 3 months and it is yet to fall off the windscreen. Not bad :)

Works very well. I am not nervous that it will drop my phone and sticks to the glass well.

Only reason for 4 stars is that the iPhone XS is quite heavy and it vibrates at a high frequency on the stem which makes looking at the screen for sat nav use a little more difficult than before.
This could be where I have positioned it or my car suspension being quite hard so others may not experience this.

So the actual suction cup stand is great, feels solid, and holds my phone well. The twist to activate the suction cup bit is not the best idea but works and I don't plan on moving this often so it's fine for me but wouldn't recommend if you move your one around often.

Easily the worst part is the added plate to mount this on your dashboard. It's a fine enough idea I guess for rough surfaced dashes but the adhesive on it is useless, it wouldn't stick to my perfectly smooth dash. Luckily the suction cup does, perfectly, so if your dash is smooth and you want this there, all good. If not then you you're out of luck, the sticky plate will not stick to anything. And yes I dusted the area it was going on.
