my first belkin mount broke after 2 years, this is my second

it works best, but i was hoping that it would last more than 2 years...first purchase from harvey norman was bit disappointing as it just fell off with broken pieces and they didnt offer me a replacement so wanted not to go back to them atleast....i liked it quite a lot so just bought the same thing again...it works very well, very convenient, hold the phone best on the wind screen, make and built is also great

Broken within days.

Suction cap broke away from the base of the arm 3 days after installing and it didn't even have the phone mounted on it nor was it subjected to any force. I don't mean it became unstuck; The actual base of the suction cap tore away while the cap itself remained on the window. Not sure if mine was a dud or this is an issue for all of them but I cannot recommend.

Everything's good apart from the dashboard adapter

The quality of the product is very high apart from the dashboard adapter. The 3M adhesive didn't last even for several minutes as it didn't stick to the dashboard properly. The dashboard is pretty standard and the surface was clean as well. So if the intention is to use it on the dashboard please don't bother buying. However, if you're attaching it to the windshield then this is the right product for you. The suction is very strong and can withstand heat easily. It won't fall off like other suction mounts and can hold a heavy phone without an issue.

In my honest opinion this is the best car phone mount that I have come across , it is ridiculously easy to use, very sturdy and of a very good build quality made of quality materials

Build: the build quality of the product feels very premium, with a premium plastic and soft rubber that grips into the phone, it probably has the most easy to use way of getting the phone in and out. No stupid buttons, no magnets and no screw up to tighten, just literally pull the levers apart and pop your phone in. And to get it out just pull your phone out it’s quick , easy and simple.

The mount is also very heavy to attach to your windscreen and also comes with a pad that you can stick into your dashboard if you wish (however I only use this on the windscreen) , the suction cup works EXTREMELY WELL, I have had this for almost 6 months now and it has been in my car ever since then and has not come off of the windscreen in that time, no loss of suction whatsoever, it’s brilliant

The only quarrel I have had with this is that the rubber pads that hold the phone have come out of the holders for it slightly however this is probably been down to me man handling it a little bit .

During driving it is generally good at keep your phone ( I use mine for gps) stable when driving , however if you are on an older road or bumpy road it can wobble about a fair bit, but that is probably normal.

This phone holder is w little bit more expensive than most however it is truly a good investment as I have had no problems or issues with this at all, and overall was worth the £20 I paid, with this you’re not just paying for the big brand your also paying for a quality product

Works great on the windshield if the phone has a rubber case

The mount feels very solidly built and it fastens to the windshield without a problem. Just need to make sure you are pushing onto the window when you turn the locking mechanism.

The dashboard adapter is useless. The glue is very weak, barely strong enough to hold the adapter on its own, as soon as I put my phone in it the whole thing falls over. This may just be a problem with my car though, the dash is sort of soft plastic with a textured effect. Something smooth may work better?

Gripping the actual phone was pretty pour when the phone was in its hard case, I could see it slowly slipping out of the holder. My phone case has a rubber case inside it, when the holder was holding onto this it worked perfectly. I wouldn't trust the holder with a bare phone. If you have a rubbery, non slippy case then it works great.

Excellent suction....hasn't fallen off yet.
As for stability, not a chance.
Bouncing up and down on any road surface to the point the screen can't be read.
Simple fix, which shouldn't be needed, is a small piece of card pushed in the gap between the shaft and rotating locking ring.
After that 'bodge' it's perfectly stable even on a rough single lane rural back road.

The unit itself is of very high quality and finish. It holds the phone tightly and I have no worries about it coming away from the windscreen.

However, I actually would really have liked to mount mine to the dashboard. In the box is a dash mounting disc which, in theory, should be stuck to the dash and offer a smooth surface for suction. However for me, the 3M paper was completely impossible to remove from the sticky goo without ripping the stickiness off with it, thus rendering the disc completely useless. Disappointed in that.

Rigid little suction cup holder for the iPhone (mine) and a quality suction clip for attaching it to the windscreen.
It has remained attached through some hot weather recently, where most others simply fall off!
My only 'niggle' is the method of removing the phone - you have to do it with two hands because it does not 'spring out' like most mounts.
All in all, it's been a value for money purchase and I would buy another!
