This purchase was to replace another brand that I left behind in a rental car 😖. The retention via the magnet is good if you have the metal plate on the outside of your phone cover (as per their recommendation). But I have the metal plate on the inside of my cover (as I have non-slip tape on the outside). My phone (a large Samsung S20+) stays on ok on smooth roads but not bumpy roads. But this will work ok if you stick the metal plate on the outside. Also, you may want to consider a model that has adjustable swivel on it.

I bought it for holding my iPhone in my car while using map. One, be careful while fixing it to your AC vent. A slight mistake can damage the levers in AC vent. Two, it doesn't hold the phones with cases. You need to remove the case. Third, it could not hold my iPhone. It was sliding down. Be aware of these limitations before you buy.

This is the product for ease of use in various cars you own. The problem I’m facing is that, the part of magnet which sits in my car’s air vent is slightly torn/broken after 2-3 months of usage, which I did not expect. It still works perfectly but when I shift the mount to another car I spend some time trying to get the mount to sit the way it’s supposed to.

I like the product BUT it has a very tight rubbery grip… if you keep shoving in the same vent (which you obviously will because you find your good spot) you eventually will brake your air vent, it is only a matter of time.

The rubber that holds the ac vent is of good quality. For longer life you have keep it in one position, better not to keep on removing from the ac vent. The magnet is very strong. Even the adhesion of the metal plate. Only problem is withe that rubber. Once the rubber is broken its hard to place on anything.

I love the design and magnet power however the clip that attached to the car air vent is not strong enough to withhold it in place when removing the phone from the docking pad. Also it has no tilt functionality so the phone doesn't exactly face towards you which can be frustrating at times.

Works better than any other magnetic mounts. Performs best with thin cases than the thicker sturdier phone cases.
Tried with thinner cases on rough roads/off-roads held the phone firmly while with the thicker cases (Spigen cases) the phone fell a couple of times but the case did save the phone from any damage

Good product! Best air vent attachment for mobiles. But the problem is, you cannot use with AC on! The phone gets cooled too much in front of the air vent! You can’t mount on other areas because this product is made for air vent mount Only.
