Good protection overall, but will make you sweat

The pads are just foam sheets. They offer good protection, I use them when practising roller skating. Fell a few times and I'm sure they saved my bones somewhere.

Note that the plastic foams are almost touching your skin and you will be sweating so much! Otherwise they are good!

This is attempt number 5 at finding padded shorts that.... 1) fit true to size 2) have decent padding in the right places 3) without making me look obese and lumpy 4) made of a meshy material so not as sweaty 5) able to remove the padding where you dont need it 6) dont cost a fortune!

So I bought these sort of last minute before traveling abroad on a snowboarding trip.

I'm fairly new to snowsports myself so fall .... often. Nothing more uncomfortable than a bruised tail bone.

Day 1 tackled a rail for maybe my tenth time ever. Slipped off an slammed my thigh onto the rail. Sore yes but not half as bad as it would have been without these pants.

I am a petite size 10, with quite muscular legs and the M fit good. It was low and baggy in the crotch area, but it didn't prevent movement. Fits perfectly fine under baggy cargo trousers. Went skateboarding at the skatepark and I fell a few times in the shorts - which worried me as I am still recovering from a bad hip bruise and bump last time - but no more bruises or bumps where pads were positioned. Super pleased!

They work great!! No bruising. No soreness even.

They are lightweight and easy to get on. Super easy to move around in - I felt no restriction of movement! I'm 5'3", 147 lbs. I followed the sizing chart and they fit great.
