5.0 out of 5 stars Good book

I enjoyed this book. Adam & Danielle are so great together. Adam is such a strong, brooding guy but you can see Danielle is special to him based on the way he interacts with her. I like how confident Danielle is. The whole aspect of taking erotic pictures is interesting and the author did a good job describing and showcasing that aspect. The chemistry between them is HOT and so are the scenes when they hook up. I’ve enjoyed watching their relationship grow. I am excited to read the next book in the series. So far, based on reading 2 books already, this is a must read. I recommend.

I loved this book from the first chapter. It is definitely binge-worthy. Adam is a great guy who is closed off but intriguing. It has a few nuances of 50 Shades but just for brief moments. Crystal always has broken characters and healing with love and understanding. This book does not disappoint.

Crystal Kaswell has to be one of my favorite authors and the start of this series does not disappoint. Adam and Danielle are the 1st book in the complicated world of the Pierce family.
Danielle is just as broken as Adam but, looks at the world in a passionate way. She is the artist type while Our brooding broken bad boy shuts the world out. The 2 of them together are explosive the chemistry is off the charts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not all scars heal the same

Adam was hell bent on revenge for what happened to his brother but also haunted by his brothers goats at the same time he didn't think anyone could love him when he thought of himself as a freak or a monster because of the accident he was in that was until Danielle came in to his life then things changed he didn't get what she saw in him when he looked at him self all he saw a beast
Danielle was trying to make ends meet for her and her brother and also do her photography at the same time that was until she met Adam and he offered her a deal she couldn't say no to because that would ease her burdens and also let her focus on her photography at the same time the only thing that she had to do was not fall in love with him and that scared her also the most

A contemporary take on the classic Beauty and the beast that didn’t disappoint. I love and enjoyed the storyline in this fake marriage/billionaire romance read, Adam has been through so much that is evident with his scars and when he proposed a million dollar marriage to Danielle for one year the fun starts. He wasn’t expecting what happen next and that he would once again come alive. I love how the storyline evolved, emotionally, pain and heat level merges to make for a must read story.

I read this in one sitting. I loved the fact that the characters had flaws. Both scarred from past circumstances. I could see Adam being afraid of rejection. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is due to after the agreement to seek counseling, nothing was brought up to reaffirm she was getting help (unlike in Strum Your Heart Out, where that issue was dealt with a little better)

Really good story though. I’m looking forward to reading about Adam’s brothers.

This was my first read from this author and wasn't disappointed, first the multi culture/ interracial aspect was to close to home and made this even better... Loved Adam and Danielle chemistry, Remy and Liam brought a light humorous side to the story. Will continue the series as they become available

I was happily surprised at the erotic edge of Broken Beast (it will get the juices pumping). 😉 I found that with the way it was written, it took me longer to get into the story and I didn't fully connect with the characters. I did enjoy myself enough to check out the next book in the series though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't deliver.

There's a lot of dialogue, mostly sexualized, with not much of a story. It was trying too hard to be deep and meaningful, but ended up being hard to read or enjoy. A good story and smart writing can overcome an unlikely premise, but not this time. Realistically a powerful billionaire doesn't need an unknown young woman to get revenge over an enemy. Also the brother/sister relationship was odd - maybe disturbing. I don't recommend this one.

I could not get past the first 50 pages. Danielle is annoying, Remy is SUPER annoying. They talked about coffee entirely too much in those pages. Maybe it gets better, but I couldn't hang on.
