I'm the last surviving member of my pack, and I'm running for my life.
As the future pack leader of the Silver Wolves, my life was carefully planned: stay hidden, and learn to fight. In an instant, everything changes.
My pack was slaughtered by an unknown enemy. Alone and unsure who to trust, I search for safety.
Now, there's a pack leader who offers me something that no one else can--protection.
He’s sexy, an absolute jerk, and my fated mate.
The more I try to fight our bond, the more fate pushes us together. But the price may be too much for both of us.
I’m being hunted, and the choices I'm forced to make could destroy me.
*Please Note*
Welcome to Shadow City, where each trilogy focuses on a different pair of fated mates. By the end of every trilogy, each couple will have their happy ever after.
However, not every mystery will be solved. Some secrets will span additional trilogies, but will in no way take away from the individual stories. You can still read the trilogies out of order, but the suggested reading order is as follows:
Shadow City: Silver Wolf
Broken Mate
Rising Darkness
Silver Moon
Shadow City: Royal Vampire
Cursed Mate
Shadow Bitten
Demon Blood
Shadow City: Demon Wolf
Ruined Mate
Shattered Curse
Fated Souls

About the authors
USA Today Bestselling Author
Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.
My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.
I have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the state.
I'm extremely addicted to caffeine and enjoy drinking coffee and lattes.

Sterlyn is a Silver Wolf, they are faster and stronger than a normal Wolf as they are connected to the Moon. But on a new moon night her pack are attacked resulting in her being the only survivor. Now on the run from the people responsible for the attack and wanting to take her to breed. Sterlyn runs into Killian who takes her in and help her out.
I love every new series that Ms Grey writes, her story’s are addictive and entertaining and the characters are unique and interesting. This is no exception, once again we get a new breed of Wolf and supernaturals to keep you engaged and hooked.
Sterlyn’s character is bada**, she is literally dealing with a horrible situation, but considering the circumstances she is under she is able to make friends and somewhat a life.
I thoroughly enjoyed each moment of this book, it was an edge of your seat, nail biting, action packed read with angst, friendship, suspense and rivalry.
I am super excited to read the next book in this series.

Overall I thought there was a lot of potential and I liked the basic, albeit unoriginal, ideas, but it ended up feeling rushed and contrived. I read the whole thing but I still have no idea about the lead characters personalities. We know some facts about Sterlyns life, and that she is going through some stuff right now, but otherwise, we have no idea about her faults or likes and dislikes (apart from clothing preferences.....come on!) . And the only difference between Killian and Griffin is that she feels a 'tug' towards one instead of the other.......and that's it! There is nothing to distinguish their characters from each other. We never get to know anything about their characters, except that they are both alpha-hoes. As such, the romance really falls flat. I love romance and tried hard to find it, but there wasn't any substantial interaction between the two characters at all. I was disappointed that this author seems to have fallen into the same pattern most authors post-Twilight have: flat, one dimensional characters who you can only tell apart by their names/gender/supernatural abilities.
As mentioned, I liked how it all began, but it feel into the same disappointing patterns as so many shifter novels do these days.
I just can't be bothered to read the next one. I don't even care about the cliff-hanger ending.
Such a shame as I enjoyed the first half!

She soons finds happiness but, at what cost?

I felt like this book was just lacking in every department - it gave hints of things that could be great but they just weren't fully developed at all. The main lead was far too romanticised for my tastes - I really wanted some sort of reaction to the events in the initial chapter having nothing really made her seem out of touch with reality.
I might read the sequel if only to get some answers to the cliff-hanger but I won't be rushing for it anytime soon.
