A charming story, tastefully played out in a lovely setting by talented actors who are masterfully directed by Luca Guadagnino. Absolute quality in every detail. The coming-of-age elements, the sexual discovery, the moving father/son dialogue after Oliver departs, all written to perfection. André Aciman's novel was brought to life with a sensitively written screenplay, and skillful cinematography and editing.
And then there's Timothée Chalamet as Elio. 19 years old at the time of filming, his maturity and talent as an actor exceeded that of his co-stars, every one as brilliant and faultless as they were. Special mentions to Michael Stuhlbarg and Armie Hammer. Bravo Luca Guadagnino.

How to describe a movie like this? To me, it is like a new romantic painting captured on film (which it was, shot on film, edited digital). There is such heart in this story that this reviewer has not seen at the cinema for an eternity. If you have an open mind and treasure the ones you love, watch “Call Me By Your Name”, everything you’ve heard about it is true..Stunning!

Impossible to dislike this beautifully wrought film. James Ivory's languid screenplay is complimented by the muted Autumnal cinematography [shot on Kodak film stock] by the little-known Sayombhu Mukodeeprom, and the spot-on acting chemistry between Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer. The Academy Award® nominations have been well earned.

Call Me By Your Name is an intriguing "coming of age" genre. It is somewhat long and tells a story that is more like real life. The actors are very good and keep the viewers' interest. The additional features on the Blu-Ray are really good.

I simply adore this movie. Could watch it a million times over and notice something new, without being bored. The DVD works.... but that’s about it. It is pretty low picture quality and the subtitles are in a weird font without the ability to be changed.
