They complete their mission by killing the insane scientist, and along the way, Thadd acquires a new pet🐕🐺 and they rescue a woman called Evie, who can absorb/borrow others powers, due to experiments done to her. More about her later🤫

First Claw, Annora and Captain Thadd were enemies going on a secret mission to save the people of Taln. What a story with two very powerful and strong characters who have their issues. When things go wrong on their second mission, they have to work together and trust each other to complete the mission!! My only gripe is that in book 1 of the series, when we are first introduced to First Claw Annora, she is described as having tawny skin, and yet in her own book no reference of her is made of her skin but lots of references to her mates and hair. Anna Hackett is an exceptional writer who ensures the reader can visualise all her protagonists, but sadly failed to do so in this book. But a wonderful read!!
