Product description
When a cop is shot after witnessing the murder of the wife of a local real estate lawyer, Deputy Chief of Police Lucas Davenport (Mark Harmon) is called to the scene. The cops quickly zero in on the husband as the prime suspect until a team of FBI agents descends on Minneapolis with evidence linking the crime to elusive hit woman Clara Rinker (Tatiana Maslany- The Vow). Taking charge of the investigation, Davenport suspects that Clara is not working alone and sets his sights on Carmel Loan (Lola Glaudini- Blow, Invincible), a high-powered attorney with an intense obsession for the real estate lawyer. As Carmel and Clara try to cover up their crimes, the body count grows and Davenport does what he does best-breaking all the rules in order to nab this deadly duo.

By the way, both Davenport & Reacher should be played by Russell Crowe...'nuff said!

Sadly, this one is a total misfire on every level. Firstly, Mark Harmon as Davenport. I enjoy watching Harmon in NCIS, but he's completely miscast in this role, having neither the physicality or depth of the character. And who thought it'd be a good idea to have a Marlowe style voiceover? The books certainly aren't written that way.
Mr Harmon isn't the only piece of bad casting, others that will disappoint are Sherrill And Sloan also. The screenplay and editing are poor too, taking what was a quick paced thriller and slowing it down to over explain every occurrence.
There was apparently another adaptation of Mind Prey which also sucked. Perhaps time to leave these stories as books only.
