There are many other similar products out there (8bitdo, etc). This one has a really bright LED light and really isn't that special. The "cheat" macros are all super complicated to use and limited to a few games, don't bother!

Takes the boring grind out of playing certain games though it does occasionally deviate from what you want it to do.

Hmm...
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 January 2021Style Name: Switch-UpVerified Purchase
I bought this to use with Animal Crossing so thats what this review will be focusing on. I have a disability and struggle with certain things when gaming so when I heard about this, I thought it was a godsend and in some ways it is. In most others, its not.
I've used this with the joycons and a pro controller and out of the two, it works slightly better with the pro controller as my red joycon would disconnect and then never reconnect without resyncing.
For me, its great for:
Mass crafting: ie fishing bait. I can just leave it to craft.
Star catching: connect it all up and again, leave it while doing something else
Mass buying of nook Mile tickets. Yep used it to buy 400k worth of tickets!
The cons...
The fishing is terrible. When it works, its great, however, I used it during a fishing tourney and as soon as I activated the fishing macro, my controller would freak out. It would either stop working or lag. Then while fishing, it would catch a couple of fish and then stop working.
Its EXTEEMELY stressful trying to get the controller to connect to it, especially the joycons.. it sometimes takes up to 20 minutes and a lot of frustration for it to work...
In general, this thing is useful but for the most part, I rarely use it though due to the fact that for me, it seems to be more of a hindrance than a help

Handy for Farming Pokémon Eggs
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 September 2020Style Name: Switch-UpVerified Purchase
I use the Pokémon Mods, so I cannot attest to the other Mods.
This is very good for Generating Boxes of Eggs, and Hatching them. Breeding for Competitive is very boring, but the Switch-up allows me to breed AFK, in the same way as Audible allows me to read.
It works with the Joycons, in docked and undocked mode. It doesn't work with the Exlene Gamecube wireless controller, which is expected as it's not a First-Party Controller.
Updating the firmware is really easy too.
I've rated it 4/5, as there is input lag, that I reckon will affect the other games.

Something you should all know
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 March 2022Style Name: Switch-UpVerified Purchase
It does work, the problem is its so complicated and confusing to get right it makes me wish I never got it, and to remember how to do it all again if you say come back to it after a few months or a year just doesn't seem right that this product is just not worth it right now until they can update the firmware and re-do all the manuals to change how to activate things perhaps pc software that can let you control macros and everything like mods and cheats via pc first then test it out on the computer once its ready you can then plug it in the switch and activate it all how you setup.
Clearly the creator of this device is so smart he forgot how everyone else thinks and can't think like him or her thus why right now its pointless to use unless you have a super memory with the same brain as the inventor of the switch up.

Great little gadget
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 January 2021Style Name: Switch-UpVerified Purchase
This is a very useful little gadget and it's game enhancer functions work really well (just make sure it's completely up to date).
A couple of minor issues:
1. You have re-sync the joy-cons for EVERY use, including when connecting/disconnecting from the dock
2. There's a lot of lag when using the joy-cons, not a big deal if just using the macros but it's unusable long-term
Overall it's great though and I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking to take some of the mundane / time consuming element out of a supported game (e.g. shiny hunting in Pokémon).
@developers - please add support for soft resetting Pokémon Let's Go.

It really works
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 July 2021Style Name: Switch-UpVerified Purchase
So ive had this for about a week now and it was easy to set up and use, ive only used it for pokemon so far but it does what it says it does, i use it mainly to farm eggs and hatch them and this does it for me while i can be doing other things, it collects and hatches eggs way faster than i can but do not be under any illusions of swimming in shinys, with all the charms ( oval, marked, shiny ect ) im only getting roughly one shiny per day, that sounds bad but if you are a shiny hunter one per day is pretty good.
If your hands hurt from shiny hunting deffo pick up one of these, this is a legit review not sponsored as i purchased it with my own money :)
