This was a wide ranging study. Criminal psychology is not only just profiling but covers many other areas. This book
introduces you to them in a professional way. Highly recommended.

How do you deal with those that break the law? If their aim is to evade you, how do you identify them? If their aim is to lie, how do you interview them? If they don't see their actions are wrong, how do you help them to successfully reform?
Criminal psychology is the discipline which tackles these challenges head on. From the signals which give away when we’re lying to the psychological profiling of violent offenders, this exhaustive guide, written by the UK’s top experts, is the perfect introduction.

... who is starting her criminal/forensic psychology degree I would recommend this book
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 November 2016Verified Purchase
As someone who is starting her criminal/forensic psychology degree I would recommend this book, it gives an insight as to what criminal psychologists actually do. If your expecting a how to guide for becoming a profiler with the BAU on criminal minds then this book isn't for you. It can get tedious in parts but on the whole its a great introductory guide and whets your appetite for further reading and studying.

Interesting book. Does not really go in any depth so if you are looking for something to aid learning, this may not be the book.
