We are a few weeks in to owning this book, and have made around 15 recipes so far. Surprisingly, all have been great so far - flavours are good, the recipes are straight forward and correct, and you never feel like you're starving yourself.
Diet-wise, sticking to the plan (for lunch and dinner) seems to be working, with results of about 1kg weight loss per week so far, without cutting down on alcohol (phew!).
There are so many good looking recipes in here I don't think we will get bored of cooking out of this book for quite some time. Great job CSIRO!

Be warned, this is a very weighty book and needs to be supported when opening. I have been following the CSIRO Wellbeing Diet online for 3 months and bought this to expand my choices of meals. It is a well laid out book with only one or two recipes per page and many beautifully photographed meals. The introductory chapter details how the diet works, gives a sample menu and advises on stocking the pantry. The chapters are divided into breakfast, lunch and light meals and then chapters for seafood, lamb etc and finally a basics chapter for marinades, rubs, dips and sauces and of course desserts to round it all off. I am very happy with my purchase of this book and it will become very well worn and food stained - a sign of a useful cookbook in my kitchen.

Great book quick delivery. I don't follow the 'plan' but I now use this book for recipes for every meal (literally), and in combination with no snacks I've lost 2.5kg already. I HATE cooking but am starting to like it because the recipes are really easy and don't take hours of prep. Highly recommended. It's made cooking for one an enjoyable experience.

I rate this diet book very highly. It's the second copy I have bought, the first became so well used I bought a new one. I managed to lose 2 stone on this diet.
It has some good recipes, shopping lists and information on the science around the plan. The main theme is low carbs in day and no carbs in evening. There are some delicious recipes that I still use.

This diet is helpful and clear about its aims. It was also a success. I agree that there is too much meat in it but I just substituted extra veg, eggs, pulses or salad for the meat. I just don't eat that much meat. I also became more confident about adding in other things as substitutes as the diet progressed.
The recipes are great and we continue to eat many of them and improvise. I have given a copy of this book to a friend, not as a diet book but as a recipe book.
This diet is perfect as the chosen diet for the Beck Diet Solution Workbook. They really complement each other.
