Not great for my wahoo trainer

I have put this under my wahoo and it’s just not strong enough. Was expecting something with a harder surface. Will get the genuine wahoo one, for twice the price, next time. Not sure if it does a better job under trainers of the same brand name.

SOFT vs. HIGH DENSITY (UPDATED)

Original Review (5 stars) for the Soft version:

Bought the 30x60 size for my wife's new spin bike and the size and thickness is perfect. Keeps the bike in place, adds a slight cushion under the bike, and protects our expensive wood floor. I do recommend that you use something under the feet of your machine to disperse the weight a bit. Our spin bike came with large diameter feet to begin with, but some machines have very small ones which could push through and damage the mat/floor. I highly recommend this mat and will definitely be buying more.

Update after two weeks of use (reduced to 3 stars):

As you can see from my photos, after using the SOFT version of this mat under my spin bike it has smashed the mat down to nearly nothing under the feet. While it does keep the bike completely stationary, I am now afraid that my bike will eventually wear through the mat and damage my floor. Seeing this after only three rides of the bike, I'm switching to the High Density version. Unless whatever you're putting on this mat has a VERY widely dispersed footprint I would steer clear of the soft version and go straight to the high density regardless of the type of flooring you have.

UPDATE 3 -

I have now purchased the high density version of the mat, and as you can see from the photos, it is very shiny. It is also very thin. Now that I have both mats here I have decided to keep and use both together. I don't like the look of the high density mat at all and also don't like how thin it is so I have stacked the two together with the high density one on the bottom and that seems to have solved my issue.

In the end, this is more than I wanted to spend on mats but I am confident now that my floor is protected. If I weren't concerned about the shiny plastic look of the high density version I would have just kept that one and returned the soft one. And if you're considering stacking them like I did, it actually worked out really well. The bike is still solid as a rock so other than the extra protection you don't even know the shiny mat is even under there.

Nice material but doesn’t do the job

I’m quite disappointed with this. I just tested the mat and it doesn’t do what it claims. It’s certainly not anti slip. While working out the mat moves around and as for noise reduction, I can’t see the difference between this and my yoga mat. Not worth the money!

Smells a bit when first opening. The only thing that is disconcerting is when you buy something for exercising, and the label says *Warning: Cancer and Reproductive harm”.

I know everything is going to kill us some day, but can’t we be able to buy products that don’t off-gas and cause us harm? Maybe a bit more transparency on the selling side would’ve lead me to change my purchase.

Not for cleated shoes

Mat is advertised for bicycle wind trainers. The first time I stepped on the this mat with my cleats it put a tear in the mat.
I guess you get what you pay for. Cheap mat, bad quality! 1 Star!
How ever, within 24 hours of my review of 1 star I had a full refund.

FALSE CLAIM_Does Not Protect Carpet

I’m sure this is a great mat for hardwood flooring, tile, and maybe berber carpet but it DOES NOT protect standard carpet. I use a bike trainer and purchased this product bc it claimed to protect carpet. After the first use I noticed my rear tire wore a deep groove into the mat and no, it’s not a trainer adjustment issue, it’s the mat. It’s too thick and soft for standard carpet. False claims or inadequate claims about product performance should be called out so this is mine. I’ve since returned it. Thank you Amazon for your return policies.
