In essence it's the old 'maverick individual learns the value of teamwork and friendship'.
As the maverick in question is Damian Wayne and takes him from hugely irritating (in the comic world in general) to palatable, then the film does it's job well.
Add some major beat-downs (which I am not a big fan of normally) , standard animation, decent voice acting and you get an enjoyable, but unremarkable, animated film.
Generally I get the feeling that the DC treadmill is rolling them out a tad quicker than quality control can cope with at the moment (no surprise why of course). This one passes but not a merit and certainly not a distinction.
