Product description

This was one of the best buys I have ever made. I remember this series from when I was a young child and into my early 20s. The thought of another lockdown for some reason turned my attention into finding something comforting to watch, despite being one of the lucky ones who was able to work during lockdown. This brought and continues to bring me a lot of comfort, a feeling of security. It also brings home the fact that this was a time when people, particularly women, had far more pride in their appearance, weight, and dress sense. Yes, some of it was a bit OTT with the big hair and big clothes, but it was far far better than the sloppy, lumpy look of too many women of today. I wish this sense of style would return. The quality of these DVDs are great, clear picture, good sound. It comes in a lovely box to keep all 14 series' safely in. Thank you!

This is NOT the set with the signature tune coming from the box, but it appears to be a wonderful gift. I'll add more as and when we watch episodes. We were avid fans of the series when it aired on tv and are looking forward to watching it again.
It is now almost 18 months since this set was bought. We spend every Saturday evening being entertained by this amazing box set. We are now on Series 11 and look forward to the remaining set and 4 films.
By far THE best item ever bought on Amazon.
2 years tomorrow since this was bought and we have just one more set to watch .. plus the films of course. It has been quite a journey and one which I wouldn't have missed for the world.
I just wonder now, what on earth are we going to watch on Saturday night???

Really enjoying my Dallas rewatch. Takes me back to my childhood, as I remember being allowed to stay up late on a Saturday night to watch it (way back when of course! 😁) I haven’t so far experienced any of the discs freezing that other customers have mentioned, however I am only currently on season 3, so I guess time will tell. Also a few people have complained about the picture quality on the early episodes, but really what do you expect? The show is over 40 years old! I had no complaints myself and think the price of the box set was really good value. Just such a shame that I only have time to watch one or two episodes by day, hopefully I’ll be done by Christmas though 😂

These DVDs are in a smart, sturdy and rather impressoive box - which suggests the contents should be good. The DVDs are absolutely diabolical, dreadful, unspeakable. Not a one is not so badly scratched that it barely plays, freezes, blacks out the screen and despite endless cleaning does not improve. The discs appear to be collected from several sources as they have different formats. An ill judged and unfortunate purchase.
