Dance of a Burning Sea (The Mousai Book 2) Kindle Edition
From award-winning author E. J. Mellow comes the thrilling second installment in the Mousai series, featuring a powerful sorceress who finds her loyalties tested by a ruthless pirate lord.
Within the world of Aadilor, there is a hidden place called the Thief Kingdom, where both magic and pleasure abound. There, the Mousai, a trio of deadly sorceresses bound by oath and blood, use their powers to protect the kingdom’s treasures.
Niya Bassette brings the potent gift of dance to the Mousai, but behind her tempting twirls, she carries a heavy secret—that the infamous pirate lord, Alōs Ezra, has been threatening to exploit for years. Now banished from the Thief Kingdom for smuggling, Alōs resurfaces in Niya’s life with a plot to hold her hostage, leveraging what he knows to extort a pardon from the Thief King.
But Niya makes her own deal with Alōs to guard her secret and guarantee her freedom—yet in doing so binds herself aboard his pirate ship, where she must navigate deadly waters, a bloodthirsty crew, and her own traitorous heart. Soon, a simmering attraction between her and Alōs threatens their delicate truce and makes for a tumultuous ride on the open seas. Far from her kingdom, Niya is entangled in a dangerous dance indeed.
Welcome to the world of Aadilor, where dark deeds can mask noble hearts and the most alluring of sways often ends with a burn. Care for a spin?
"The pace of the novel is fast from the first page, with a little bit of romance and adventure rolled into the plot. Fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies will enjoy this series." --Booklist
"A magical tale of love, honor, and family. E.J. Mellow sweeps the reader away to a wonderfully imaginative world, with characters as colorful and entrancing as the vivid locales they travel to. Dance of a Burning Sea is a perfectly titled seafaring epic fantasy that's spellbinding from start to finish." --Rob Samborn, author of The Prisoner of Paradise--This text refers to the audioCD edition.

Niya’s hated for Alōs burns so vehemently. But there are so many layers to why that is, that breaks your heart in different ways. I loved these two so much! They just are both so stubborn in their own rights. The chemistry between them crackles. You just are waiting for the moment they finally succumb to the tension constantly being built!
There were so many obstacles along their course. Just when you think there is some reprieve another spanner is slammed in the works. It was wild. I loved every single second and when I felt the end drawing near, I found myself not wanting it to end. I wanted to stay in this extraordinary world.
I love all the feelings it invoked in me. I loved how all the characters grow on you. There was so much more than way meets the eye.
I loved this book incredible amounts and it will no doubt be a reread for me. Highly recommend, go read this series! And now I impatiently await the next sisters book which will no doubt also be incredible.
