Synopsis

Christian Bale once again embodies the man behind the mask in The Dark Knight. The film reunites Bale with Batman Begins director Christopher Nolan and takes Batman across the world in his quest to fight a growing criminal threat.

The package and delivery were fine the disc was fine. BUT the movie is cut. All the good scenes gone. One minute your watching Joker or Batman get to the good part, next the bad guys just on the ground. I made the BIGGEST mistake ever when purchasing this. Always remember to look for the un-cut version. I gave 3 stars as its not the sellers fault. The cut movie gets 1 star from me. I rated 3 stars so people would see this review and not make the same mistake.

You can't look past Heath Ledger's performance in this film - it's undeniably perfect. The 4K comes with a blu-ray disc too but if you have a great surround sound system and 4K TV, the 4K disc is a treat and let's you experience the movie like never before. Loved it!

I you are like me you saw the Dark Knight in IMAX because many of the more impressive sequences were all shot on this beast of a format. Christopher Nolan is quite unique as a director in that he really has only succumbed to digital by way of the visual effects. Still much of this kind of stuff is done in camera which again is rare these days . And that’s what make his movies so much better than other directors who might not have the drive to get stuff in camera. So many of the memorable scenes in this shot on IMAX just breathe better in 4K. Establishing shots of Hong Kong have eye watering detail and that bit with the truck is still amazing to this day. I have the Blu and this is absolutely an improvement picture wise. Stunning vision but the audio is amazing too. Highly recommended
