My favourite parts of the book:
✅️ the banter between Danny and Leon is **chefs 💋** Think a hotter Mr & Mrs Smith. They live such chaoticly violent lives so it's no surprise that the way they interact is similar but at the same time is so intimate and real. He does more than literally kill for his woman, that it's sick in the hottest way possible 🥵
✅️ has a strong female lead character. It's no secret Hades is my favourite FMC ever written. I love tough h's but Danny is possibly tougher and I can't get enough
✅️ 2% in and 🌶🌶 started
✅️ loved seeing other characters from previous books making guest appearances and learning more about them (the new revelations revealed 🤯) - don't have to read them, just a treat for those who have already read the other series 🧁
I haven't mentioned Kai yet so it's probably a good indication on where I sit with him in this whole love triangle 🤣🤣
One thing you learn with Tate books, is that you NEVER know what to expect. I don't even know how she will tie everything together. The only logical answer is with magic. She's a magician. Bring on The Guild #3.
Leon had me seeing stars. 5 to be exact.

You the real mvp 😂😅😩I received this book as an arc (thank you Tate and Peachy Keen) and here’s my spoiler free review.Dead Drop opens its first chapter right back where we left off at the ending of Honey Trap (book one) and we get thrown in the deep end faster than you can say #justiceforstanleyI really loved this one!There’s more character background and growth, the story evolves along with Danny’s feelings for both guys and it’s refreshing to see a FMC that doesn’t just fall head first in love and they live happily ever after. I love the struggle she has with even the concept of love, the daily challenges she has with her feelings. It’s amazing to read about someone who is crazy strong and intelligent, but can’t deal with basic human emotions.I also fell more in love with the guys in this one! We get more Kai and more Leon, and some scenes had me on the edge of my seat. Hell, some scenes I had to put my phone down and take a breather because I couldn’t believe what I was reading 😂All in all, without giving anything away, this was such an awesome second book for the series and I’m already in denial that it’s over. The books ending wasn’t as brutal as some of Tate’s other books, but I was still left reeling with the news information and no answers.I can’t wait to see what happens in the final book!
