The DS Jack Mackinnon series goes from strength to strength, this time Jack is faced with a murder which appears to have all the hallmarks of a ritual vodoo murder. As always nothing is exactly as it seems thrown in a mysterious MR X (this is of course were my x-men reference comes into play) and were off in a race against time to find the killer.

The characters are well rounded, the story is intriguing and is fast paced.

A very good read, especially if you have already read the other books in the series, I would have to say the D.S. Butler has created a very good series, l looking forward to the next instalment
