Product description
Des tells the story of the arrest and trial of serial killer of one of the UK s most notorious criminals, Dennis Nilsen. The drama is told through the prism of three different men Nilsen himself, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Jay, and biographer Brian Masters.
The dramatic series explores the personal and professional consequences of coming into contact with a man like Nilsen; who murdered several boys and young men in his flat from 1978 to 1983 and went undetected until police were called following reports of human fragments of flesh and bone clogging the drains.

Misleadingly titled but excellent film

Very good film. I initially thought it was about Des O'Connor, but soon realised my mistake. By that point I'd obviously opened it and breached the returns policy. No matter, it was very good as I said. Would recommend!

David Tenant has once again shown us just how talented he is!
Des is a true crime series based on the 1983 arrest of Scottish serial killer Dennis Nilsen and the efforts by the police to ensure his conviction and the identity of his victims.
It's a must watch for those who like a true crime series.

I anticipated this film better.

I learnt a lot of the story line like every one else what was in the papers and TV I anticipated this film a lot better on personal reasons I new one of his victim’s, the chef who had a tattoo around his neck saying cut here & that what Dennis did, he used the knifes a chef has at catering college you would have your initials engraved on them One of the best version of being open to everyone on the TV and in the newspaper

Brilliant acting

I was aware that this story is based on an horrific serial killer but was not disappointed by the brilliant acting from all the actors and particularly David Tennant who was amazing and interested as I new parts of it was filmed in Shepton Mallett prison which I visited last year being close to home and knew someone personally that used to work there.
