Single mom Pepper Hannigan has put all she has into one goal -- giving her daughter Juno the best life possible. That means no risks. No reckless nights. And no romance. Pepper refuses to let any Tom, Dick, or Harry romance his way into her family of two, only to break both her and her little girl's hearts. But Juno has other plans . . .
August Hero may have a storybook name, but the serious, stern commando believes he's anything but a knight-in-shining-armor. He can't deny, however, how badly he wants to play Prince Charming for Pepper and her little girl. But when Juno's matchmaking brings danger into their homes, August will need to save both Pepper and Juno to prove to Pepper that happy endings aren't just for fairytales.

I've really enjoyed reading every book in the series. I hope that Billy, Zane and Marquis get a book .
If you haven't read any of Kristen Ashleys books before now I highly recommend you do yourself a favor and get on that. You will not be disappointed 😉
This is the story of Auggie and Pepper. Auggie is a commando for Hawk’s team and Pepper is a dancer at Smithie’s club. Pepper has an awesome little girl named Juno who is the light of her life.
Auggie and Pepper have a rough start of things as Pepper believes that she shouldn’t be dating until her daughter is older. However, Juno has other ideas and goes about trying to get Pepper and Auggie together with the help of someone Auggie and his team doesn’t expect.
This book is full of twists and turns and the ever present Kristen Ashley sense of humour that had me giggling on more than one occasion. There was also a few tears shed as Pepper deals with extravagant family.
Dream Keeper definitely takes you on an emotional rollercoaster but it worth the ride!
I definitely recommend this book!
Pepper has a complicated life. She’s a single mother to Juno, who I absolutely adored, and the sort of heroine who equally frustrates and captivates me. She’s a nurturing, and amazing mother, but has some trust issues from her past, and tends to give Auggie mixed signals at times.
Auggie is a former military man, turned commando who is incredibly patient, protective, sweet, and sexy and isn’t afraid to own up to his mistakes.
This pair have a ton of family drama that plays out before your eyes. It’s an emotional, action packed story of friendship and family, with plenty of heat and heart
‘Dream Keeper’ is the fourth book in the Dream Team series featuring Smithie’s girls and Hawk’s Commandos and as the last man/woman standing it’s the turn of Pepper and Auggie to find their happily ever after.
This story was more emotional than the previous books. It felt more like a slow-burn, family drama/traditional love story with single mum Pepper determined that her daughter Juno would come first.
Luckily for her, her daughter knew what was best for her mum and didn’t miss an opportunity to get Pepper and Auggie in the same room with more than a little help from that enigma known as Mr Cisco. Auggie might have the looks of a Greek god but that didn’t stop him from having his own painful past to overcome and, as for his family, the only word that comes to mind there is toxic. After an initial one night stand with Pepper, I did like that Auggie took things slowly so they really got to know each other before taking things to the next level.
I consider myself a super top KA fan and I have to say this book is up there with my favourites. Auggie, Pepper & Juno were awesome. I loved the slow burn. I loved that we got Juno as part of the story. Another 5 Stars from me.

I have to admit being slightly disappointed in this book but only in so much that I expected the story arc of crooked cops that has been running throughout the series to conclude with Dream Keeper but that looks like its going to continue with the next group of commandos and whoever is lucky enough to snag one of those fine specimens although with Elvira involved next time perhaps Billy, Zane and Marques should be running for the hills!
Secondly, I was a bit bored. It took 480 pages for there to be any semblance of danger towards Pepper, and that's a big part of what makes these series so exciting for me. Plus, in the book description it literally says that Pepper is in danger, and sure we hear that said a few times but we never really see any evidence of it, so I was pretty disappointed about that.
Regardless of these things, Pepper and Auggie were cute, and Juno was such a sweetheart. And when the action did finally hit in the last 50 or so pages, things picked up a lot, but this book was just way too long for what it did.
That said, the end did make me quite excited for future books, or what I am guessing might be a spin off series featuring the new guys that were hired by Hawk and finally getting to the end of all the dirty cop stuff.
This is the last of the girls Pepper who is supposed to be paired with Auggie; however Pepper has a daughter Juno and an ex who broke her heart, and is understandably reluctant to start a new relationship.
A good story but it irritates me that epilogue's are short and don't go very far into the future as all the stories sort of join together. However it appears the series will now extend to encompass some of Hawk's younger employees; plus the dirty cops story running alongside the love stories appear far from over.
