The second adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sprawling novel Dune is an amazing visual spectacle that benefits from the 3D process. This film is made to be seen in 3D and thanks to Amazon the USA Blu-ray is available worldwide. Bone rattling sound and HD picture makes this an essential purchase so track down a 3D copy, it’s worth the extra coin. Like many other viewers around the world I’m awaiting the second film. Brilliant!

Watch it when you are depressed and don't want to hurt yourself to suicide. This movie is a slow and sure death to brain.

If you dont know the story, you won't be able to follow this movie. There is not enough dialogue , and the scenes are not set up to follow. If you like dream state movies that you dont understand, then rent or buy it. Otherwise, wait till it comes out on prime, or other services so you dont have to pay for it. By the way, i have been a fan of dune, since it was written. They had ALL the components and money to make a great film, just not a good recipe. Very disappointed

This film by Denis Villeneuve with a soundtrack by Hans Zimmerman is a masterpiece of audio visual art.

Unfortunately I had to buy it again through Apple TV as Amazon offers it in HDR10 (and probably HDR 10+ if you own a Samsung). Unlucky for me I own an LG.

This wasn’t brought to my attention at time of purchase (everywhere it’s available In Dolby Vision) If you want (or need) this in Dolby Vision, go somewhere else.

This was an excellent film with great production, visual effects, fantastic actors and a compelling Science Fiction story, but it may not be for everyone. While I enjoyed the film for its beauty and story and for what’s to come in future instalments it’s slower pace and intricate plots points will lose a lot of casual viewers (including my wife who fell asleep). I would suggest complete focus while watching this movie, make sure you have the time and put your phone on Airplane mode to avoid distractions.

The film may require a few viewings to fully appreciate the plot and where the themes are taking us for the second film.

Does not compare to DAVID LYNCH or even the TV versions . I wear headphones but had to use subtitles to follow the often heavily garbled monolog . It's another dark film , making me thing that it's low budget .So much of the story line is missing that it's hard to believe they stretched this out to 155 mins. I'll wait for pt2 to hit the SALLY ANN .

Las arenas no son grises. No se dice que es la primera parte. Me pregunto si irá a hacerla, que es mejor, y se entenderá mejor para las generaciones jóvenes de hoy, no creo que conozcan ni el libro, ni las películas.
