Product description
Triple bill of documentaries. 'Tornado Alley' (2011), narrated by Bill Paxton, follows a group of storm chasers as they study tornadoes across the central region of the United States, often referred to as Tornado Alley. Led by Sean Casey, the team attempt to capture imagery and information from inside a tornado for the first time. 'Grand Canyon Adventure - River at Risk' (2008), narrated by Robert Redford, sees Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Wade Davis journey down the Colorado River into the depths of the Grand Canyon as they discuss this environmental issue. The footage captures the vastness of the landscape, while explaining the need to conserve water. Finally, 'Hidden Universe' (2013) takes a close look at some of the farthest reaches of space by examining images captured by some of the world's most powerful telescopes. Narrated by Miranda Richardson, the film explores the earliest galaxies and offers fresh insight into the origins of the universe.

Particularly like the tornado chasing, the details are terrific.
Note to the reviewer who wanted to sound off his take on climate change, stick to reviewing the videos and not your political beliefs please. Amazon shouldn't have let your review go up.

What the video is is a Climate Change / mankind has screwed-up everything hoax. Yes, there's few shots shots of the Grand Canyon but the majority of the video's focus is how man screws up everything. I've grown tired of those elites who pollute the air with their private jets & live in very areas that benefit from the water & power they get from the Colorado, then lecture others how to vote & live. If they think the dams on the Colorado have screwed-up the planet then move. Or better yet, turn off your power & water they get from these "endangered areas" & set an example. Robert Kennedy, Jr made a cameo appearance to reinforce the hoax as well. Things must have been boring in Camelot, I guess (Bet he didn't fly coach ;) ). Anyway, I could of swore he actually was sweating for the first time since his last polo match.
Some have committed this video as not being 4K. Well, no blu-ray is true 4K (4096 x 2160). UHD Blu-rays are 3840 x 2160 which is the standard. The disc isn't advertised as HDR (High Dynamic Range) & it isn't that either but that would of been nice if it were.
I gave it a one because Amazon doesn't accept a ZERO!

When talking about the other two films, well, the Grand Canyon one has the same quality. It definitely has an agenda, as many reviews have said about it. The agenda is NOT off base though. It speaks true. I just wish it wasn't forced so hard how it is in the film. I could also do without the bubble text intro on the film that is lengthy and cheesy dumb. The footage within it though is pretty good. My rating for just the Grand Canyon video is like a 3 out of 5.
The Hidden Universe thing just really isn't my cup of tea. I don't care for that kind of stuff so I am probably not the best person to review that portion of it. I thought it was alright though.

The Tornado one is even more incredible and almost everything you wanted in a real life 4k Twister redeux documentary (Bill Paxton is the narrator ) The special surprise (which you wish would result in a longer shot but satisfying none the less) is epic and something we Tornado fans all waited for. This one is like bein in the center of the storms too. Exceptionally well done!
The Space set is just incredibly well done too. The difference here is it's not a natural experience you can mentally/physically relate to so the visual trips are phenomenal but it's not "you're there man". Do not let that dissuade you because the info and imagery is the best I've seen so far of space and the topic is focused on things many will find as "fresh / new info". It's space so no one can hear you scream and people hate audio in telescope rooms SO, audio is nothin special.
If you want a showcase UHD disc for your system that you can watch more than several times and be excited to show others, this is a good one for you :)
