Candice Fox's third book in the Archer & Bennet series delves into the murky Sydney which lies just beneath the sparkling harbour and manicured gardens featured on tourist postcards.
Predators are victims, ethics are nebulous, loyalties are shifted.
It's well crafted and creepy. Enjoy.

A chilling, exhilarating new thriller from the award-winning Candice Fox, described by the Sydney Morning Herald as 'an important new voice in crime fiction'. "I'm sure every day Eden looked in the mirror and wondered if she should kill me..."
If Detective Frank Bennett tries hard enough, he can sometimes forget that Eden Archer, his partner in the Homicide Department, is also a moonlighting serial killer . . .
Thankfully their latest case is proving a good distraction. Someone is angry at Sydney’s beautiful people – and the results are anything but pretty. On the rain-soaked running tracks of Sydney’s parks, a predator is lurking, and it’s not long before night-time jogs become a race to stay alive.
While Frank and Eden chase shadows, a different kind of danger grows closer to home. Frank’s new girlfriend Imogen Stone is fascinated by cold cases, and her latest project – the disappearance of the two Tanner children more than twenty years ago – is leading her straight to Eden’s door.
And, as Frank knows all too well, asking too many questions about Eden Archer can get you buried as deep as her past …
Fall is the third novel in Candice Fox's acclaimed series, following Hades, winner of the Ned Kelly Award for Best Debut 2014, and Eden, winner of the Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Novel 2015, presented by the Australian Crime Writers Association.
'Hades announced the arrival of an important new voice . . . Eden [was] equally breath-taking' Sydney Morning Herald

You know you are hooked on a book when you passionately wish that something would befall a character. But Fox went one better than I had hoped in an ending that was more twisty and turns than a twisty turny thing.

This is the third book by Candice Fox I've read in 4 days. What a thrilling journey. Wonderful plot , outstanding memorable characters, I can't wait for the next book, hopefully it won't be long.

Not a formulaic crime story, this is a genuinely hard-to-put down tale constructed around trauma, damage and consequences. A great, but dark read.

My second Candice Fox book. Gripping is the word. Gripping the arm rests. Gripping tension. Gripping violence and behavioural twists. Right up there.

This is the third novel in the Hades trilogy. I read them all within about 10 days; compelling reading. Fall was as good as the two previous books and maybe left the door open a crack for another (please!). I have been recommending these books to others and am tempted to buy the hard copies too, just so I can have my own copies in bookcase.

Great drama and thriller in Frank Bennett series where Fox has you guessing right to the end whilst building characters along the way

A fascinating heroine- loved the world introduced in Hades and in this book Fox makes us question Eden's true self and how scarred she really is.

Love this author, her clever plots and fantastic descriptions of characters. There really isn't much good in Candice Fox' s fictional world. Well written, kept in suspense although it is pretty clear early on who the killer is.
Very enjoyable but her Crimson Lake series is still a tad better.

Boring read

Absolutely boring same as the last one. First one good which is why I downloaded the next two. Too much time spent describing every character, item of clothing and area. I got bored and lost track of story and stopped reading. Waste of money.
