5.0 out of 5 starsIt seems to me that all you see is violence in movies and sex on TV.

The Griffins are back for more misadventures in the town of Quahog. Likeable idiot Peter, who makes Homer Simpson look like the head of Mensa, long suffering wife Lois, eldest daughter and moaner Meg, idiot middle son Chris, baby Stewie still obsessed with killing Lois and ruling the world and also the smartest member of the family along with talking dog Brian and all their idiot friends and neighbours basically picking up where season 5 left off with no changes whatsoever. At first I wasn't going to bother with Family Guy thinking it would be nothing more than a rip off of The Simpsons or South Park and just full of low brow toilet humour but after giving in after hearing mostly good things and catching episodes on Fox and BBC3, it turns out surprisingly there is much more to it with some surprisingly sophisticated adult humour and spot on movie spoofs as good as The Simpsons used to do in their glory days back in the 90's. Yes it's a cartoon and yes there's a talking baby and talking dog, the 2 best characters for me in the series but don't be fooled into thinking it'll be good for the kids, this is strictly adults only, the 15 certificate and late night slots on Fox and BBC3 are well earned and is one to avoid if you are easily offended, but don't worry, Family Guy spoofs and insults everyone not just one group of people. As a lot of people have said, it's not really season 6, more like volume 6 with episodes missing and on other sets but still this is hilarious stuff and one of the best comedies on TV at the moment and still going strong with no signs of stopping. Seth McFarlane does a great job voicing Peter, Stewie and Brian with an excellent supporting voice cast including Mila Kunis, Alex Borstein, Seth Green and Adam West as himself.
This season is amazing, like all the others. Seth MacFarlane is a complete genius, i love this way this show takes the mick out of every day things, people, all kinds of stuff - and slaps them all together into a very witty and well animated cartoon. some people are very shallow and don't understand the humor, usually boring unimaginative people. if you have a sensor of humor and you want to be entertained, this is definitely worth watching. if your thinking about buying it........ buy it!
