It’s not easy being a good detective - when your brother’s a serial killer.
Sam Blue stands accused of the brutal murders of three young students, their bodies dumped near the Georges River. Only one person believes he is innocent: his sister, Detective Harriet Blue. And she’s determined to prove it.
Except she’s now been banished to the outback town of Last Chance Valley (population 75), where a diary found on the roadside outlines a shocking plan – the massacre of the entire town. And the first death, shortly after Harry’s arrival, suggests the clock is already ticking.
Meanwhile, back in Sydney, a young woman holds the key to crack Sam’s case wide open.
If only she could escape the madman holding her hostage . . .

About the Author
JAMES PATTERSON is one of the best-known and biggest-selling writers of all time. His books have sold in excess of 400 million copies worldwide. Inspired by his own son who was a reluctant reader, he also writes a range of books for young readers including the Middle School, Dog Diaries, Treasure Hunters and Max Einstein series. James has donated millions in grants to independent bookshops and has been the most borrowed author in UK libraries for the past thirteen years in a row. He lives in Florida with his family.
Candice Fox is the middle child of a large, eccentric family from Sydney’s western suburbs. The daughter of a parole officer and an enthusiastic foster-carer, Candice spent her childhood listening around corners to tales of violence, madness and evil as her father relayed his work stories to her mother and older brothers.
Candice won back-to-back Ned Kelly awards for her first two novels – Hades and Eden. She is also the author of the critically acclaimed Fall, Crimson Lake, Redemption and Gone by Midnight. Candice’s first collaboration with James Patterson, Never Never, was a Sunday Times and New York Times no. 1 bestseller. They have co-authored three further novels featuring Harriet Blue – Fifty Fifty, Liar Liar and Hush Hush.

James Pattersons books have been best sellers for decades now, with Jaame Patterson being rated as "One of the Best All-Time Authors of fictional works." The number of Authors he is obviously "Mentoring" as Co-Authors is remarkable and include people of all types, including Ex-Presidents of the United States. If some if these authors can emulate the way James Patterson has set out his scripts, there are going to be large number of sleepless nights as these Books simplly CANNOT BE PUT DOWN.
Top reviews from other countries

I have been reading James Patterson novels for years and always enjoyed the gripping story in the last 2 weeks I have read The President is Missing, 18th Abduction and Cross the line all of which were excellent. Fifty Fifty was so disappointing I had to add a review of zero stars unfortunately Amazons system does not allow this

I have enjoyed the earlier one, and am looking forward to this one. A combination of Patterson and Candice Fox worked well and am looking forward to this one which follows on from No 1.
