Nevaeh
I burned my bridges a long time ago and headed for the big city. Life was fast, but I was making it—until I wasn’t anymore. I want a do over. Confront my past. Starting with the man who swore he loved me and left anyway. The big, bad biker who broke my heart.
Forty
I never got over Nevaeh Ellis. Never could forgive her either. My brothers believe she’s disloyal, and there’s no making that right. But why is she back? And why is she so angry? The longer she’s in town, the more I wonder what really happened back in the day. Is she the bad guy—or was I?
There’s no time to figure it out. The feud between my club and the Rebel Raiders is raging out of control, trouble is dogging Nevaeh’s heels, and if I don’t make the right call this time—she’s not gone. She’s dead.
Forty is a steamy, second chance romance. It’s the sixth book in the Steel Bones Motorcycle Club series, but it can be read as a standalone. It is intended for adult readers.

That’s easy. The hero, Forty, was meh. When it takes him until 90% to realise just how wrong he is, it doesn’t work for me. But the biggest disappointment was Heavy and Harper. Heavy has got to be the most useless President I’ve ever come across. After everything he did, his pathetic excuse for a gesture at the end was incredibly underwhelming. I was so glad that Shirlene put Harper in her place but I wish someone would call Harper out on her BS every time she says they’re family. I don’t care how tragic her sob story is going to be, I’m just not interested in her book because I don’t like her character at all. Or Heavy’s for that matter. But I can’t wait to read Dizzy and Fay-Lee’s book - they are my absolute favourite couple in this series!!
Forty left to serve his time in the military and Naveah his girlfriend and very young at the time didn't handle it well she believed that he should never leave and always be there even though that is impossible in real life but she was very young and in a bad home situation. Trying to make Forty jealous she tried everything to make him come home even though that was impossible (remember I said very young) this alienated his MC brothers and they have never forgiven her Now ten years later Forty has returned and is the VP of the club and Naveah on the run from yet another disaster in her life has returned to Petty's Mill and her brother Lou that puts her once again in the eye of the MC Forty wants to move on and start a family but he can't ever get Naveah out of his head but can she be the one for him when the entire MC is against her and when danger comes for her will his brothers back him up or walk away in protest against her. You will have to read to see
I was given a copy of this book but this is a true and honest review
After trying to survive for years she is now running back to her brother’s trying to hide and save herself. Only this time Forty is back and he is back as VP of the club that wants nothing to do with Nevaeh. Forty has changed; he is all man now but has demons he is living with as well. He just remembers Nevaeh turning her back on him when he enlisted and wants nothing to do with the girl he once loved….until he learns the real reason behind all of her actions.
I was hooked with this book from the get go and it kept me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time. What was the secret Nevaeh was hiding and does she really deserve the way the club is still showing her their total disregard for her? The chemistry was hot and the suspense even better.

They re meet 10 years later, is this their second chance? Will they take it if it is? Read and find out.

Basically the club feel the heroine wronged one of their own in the past and they all hate her, so much so they ran her out of town.
I liked that the actions of the heroine were wrong in the past, she admits she was foolish though she didn't cheat like the Hero thought.
The treatment of her in the past and present is harsh.
There is some pushing away from the Hero in the beginning.
The heroine has issues.
There are references to abuse from the past though not much detail.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine but the Hero does go on a date before he meets the heroine again.
Nothing happens.
I would have liked more conversation between the MC club men and either the Hero or the heroine to show the resolving of their issues rather than fighting it out.
There are breadcrumbs dropped for future books in series.
HEA.
Epilogue.

This is a story between 2 people who come together after several years and whilst it unfolds, there are references to other people who have appeared earlier but does not confuse or distract the reader.
