5.0 out of 5 starsGreenies are the best

Great dental stick for your dog. Has the best ingredients for the fur child. At this value found on amazon it is a bargain and could not recommend any other product either. One of the best dental sticks and number 1 in my books. Keeps their teeth and gums in great health bonus is better breath too.

1.0 out of 5 starsWARNING!
Reviewed in Australia on 28 August 2019
Within an hour of eating one of these my dog was vomiting green bile and then continued to have diarrhoea.

I didn’t put two and two together until it happened again two days later when he had another one.

The rest have gone back to Amazon.

Whatever is in this product is garbage and I feel so guilty for letting my dog get sick.

1.0 out of 5 stars My dog could not digest them
Reviewed in the United States on 13 March 2021

My dog was not able to digest these and vomited up whole pieces of the chew. I even tried chopping it up into smaller pieces and she still vomited it up. I should not have bought such a large quantity. I recommend purchasing a smaller bag to try first to make sure your dog can digest them.

1.0 out of 5 stars BEWARE IF YOUR DOG EATS THEM QUICKLY
Reviewed in the United States on 20 April 2016

These made my dog very sick. She is 7.5 years old and had never had any issues before I began giving her Greenies. Exactly 6 days after I started feeding her Greenies was the first episode. She threw up that night and it looked a little strange. It was bile but had an orange tint to it. The next morning I awoke to find blood and throw up all over the floor. My dog was pooping out blood and throwing up after she drank any water. There was also some blood in her vomit. I called the vet and it took about 25 minutes to get her to the vets office. They ran some tests on her and said she was a little bit dehydrated and had gastroenteritis. They said they did not know what had caused it. The vet gave her some fluids under the skin, prescribed some antibiotics and I was able to take her home. She had diarrhea the next day (thankfully no more blood) but after that it cleared up. I did not realize at the time it was the Greenies. She was fine after that for another 4 months. I often gave her Greenies though not every day.

Then came the second episode. She was a bit more lethargic the day before, but otherwise seemed fine. However the next morning there was blood and vomit everywhere. I took her to the vet and they said it was hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and they wanted to keep her over the weekend on an IV. I asked them if Greenies could cause this and they didn't think so. I got to take her home on Monday and she still had bloody diarrhea for several days but her appetite was back. It took about 2 months for her to return to normal.

I ended up throwing away two boxes of Greenies. She hasn't had any issues at all since nor has she had any diarrhea since. It's important to point out that my dog ate her Greenies very quickly. She didn't chew them up properly. If your dog eats them quickly they are very dangerous. I gave these to two other dogs who would spend a lot longer eating them and they never had a problem. I don't give it to them anymore because it's not worth the risk. I am just thankful my dog is okay now. Vet bills were around 900. I realize it was not wise to feed them to my dog because she ate them too quickly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Different Recipe for Large Dogs?
Reviewed in the United States on 19 April 2020

Not sure why, but my dog won’t eat these. She LOVES the tiny ones made for small dogs (same exact brand) but these made for larger dogs ( >15lbs) she won’t even touch. Maybe the recipe is different or the binder they use for the larger greenies is different but even if I cut them apart into bite size she won’t touch them.
Suggestion: if you’re looking to save $ and buy the larger size greenies, don’t do it. There is something different about them that makes them undesirable to dogs

1.0 out of 5 stars Causes Severe Vomiting
Reviewed in the United States on 8 August 2020

There is certainly something wrong with these treats. Within hours of eating them, both of my dogs became violently ill throwing up blood and yellow liquid. We thought it may have just been a bad batch, but this is the second box that has done this. We will he steering clear of Greenies in the future.

1.0 out of 5 stars These arrive rubbery. Useless for teeth health--false advertising. Horribly constipating.
Reviewed in the United States on 13 July 2020

Though they have over a year before expiration, these arrived rubbery and certainly will not help remove calc from a dog's teeth. That is why I bought them. In addition, they cause serious constipation--it is unwise to give the dog a whole one. My dog loves the taste, but they are not as advertised.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gave our dog a seizure
Reviewed in the United States on 24 February 2018

Our dog used to have seizures when he was eating Beneful food. After we switched him to Science Diet, they stopped. This was about 5 years ago. In the last month we bought greenies for our him because he has bad breath. After about a month of giving him one greenie a day, he had one of his old seizures. Once we stopped giving them to him, he hasn't had another seizure. Don't recommend.

Box was labeled “petite” but what was inside was large or super large size. Not satisfied since my dog weighs 5pounds and these are huge.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dangerous to dogs
Reviewed in the United States on 9 August 2021

I do not suggest buying these. Dogs have a major issue digesting them and if your dog eats it too fast it can be dangerous and possibly even life-threatening. We had a major issue with our dog and causing digestive issues. As soon as we stopped giving them, the issues resolved themselves!

1.0 out of 5 stars Made My Dog Sick!!
Reviewed in the United States on 2 May 2020

These made my mini-dachshund very sick! We gave them to her for a few days & each night we would find black diarrhea. She was very lethargic and did not want to eat anything. Took her off the greenies and she is fine. Look at multiple sites for reviews on greenies. I wish I had done that because these things can be dangerous!
