This was done very very well. If you have the previous box set , yes you have much of this.... but what they have done should be commended. Not only are ALL the HBO specials as well as the George on George and personal favorites included... but the last two specials are offered on both DVD and Blu Ray. The bonus features make this a super treat... a full one hour performance from the Comedy Store in 1999 working up his soon to tape HBO Special You are All diseased, as well as the performance at the small Comedy and Magic Club in 2006 of his working on material for "It's Bad For Ya" are treasures for me. Another bonus is George Carlin 40 years in comedy special with host Jon Stewart which clocks in at an hour and was previously unavailable. A few old TV appearances are great but more gold is to be found on a pilot for HBO called Apt 2-C (running a half hour) and a 50 minute network special The Real George Carlin from 1973. I'm very happy I double dipped for these bonus features. The packaging is slightly annoying, the booklet only rates as serviceable. There is a very cool poster of the cover art which is cool. The older specials don't look like they have been remastered in any way but they also don't seem to be suffering by sharing space instead of having their own discs. This is a wonderful collection from arguably the greatest and most prolific stand up of all time.

I'll update once I have viewed all the discs. This I'd the complete HBO specials and many great extras. I've loved Carlin since hearing "AM and FM" as a teenager; I still have the vinyl. Enjoy!
