Made the mistake of not using or testing this right away. The reviews I read about tshe product and company were all very good. It stays on for all of 5 seconds max. The setting doesn’t matter. Went to the company website to try and see if there was anything that could be done - nope. They only warranty it for a year if you buy it directly from them. So, this is going in the bin and, I will never purchase from this company again. I would give it a zero if I could.
First one I got I charged up turned it on it didn’t want to stay on keep flickering and turning off. So I return it thinking I got a bad one the second one showed up it is the same way this is a lemon light.
After over 10 hours charging in the sun these had a very dull light that lasted maybe an hour. I charged then with the USB overnight. The lantern came on easily, was only slightly brighter, and lasted maybe 4 hours. I wish I had returned them. Not worth the money you spend for what I thought would be a fun addition to the camping experience for my grandchildren.
I brought this camping last weekend. I was really excited to use it and show off the 'Party Mode' with the strobing colored lights. I had used it briefly before leaving on the trip and had fully read the 6 lines of instructions. I took the light out of demo mode. Upon arriving at the campsite we spent more time actually trying to get this lamp to work than it was probably even on for. It simply does not want to change modes. It is not user friendly. Upon returning home I went through the instructions again, and followed them to the letter. It didn't change the outcome. The light just does what it wants to. This was my first Goal Zero product and I am not impressed. IF you need a lamp may try their white lamp that doesn't have the colors. It would maybe be easier to use.
I was not able to get this device to operate so I gave it to someone more knowable with these items and he couldn't get it to work. Later, I returned it and was speaking to spoke one about the problem and learned that there other instructions inside, under the item that may have helped me. Very poor planning on this company's part. Since i'm in the storm track belt and loose power more than I like I was hoping would be a useful tool when the power goes out, it was not.
I bought the Crush Lite under 2 years ago and haven't used it much, it just sits on a window sill to keep charged for emergency's. I noticed that the plastic collapsible piece is breaking down and becoming sticky with a strong plastic smell. I contacted Goal Zero since there is a 2 year warranty and they said "I would keep using it, it should be fine". "Should" be fine???? This is going in the garbage just like Goal Zeros customer service. I would look at the Luci lights if looking to purchase this type of product.
I got this a while ago. Needed to use it. It was fully charge. I turned it on and it flickered and went off. tried several times. Then I plugged it into a usb outlet. Still nothing. Good idea, not good function.
