Very silly, poor continuity, and lackluster acting. Even my Grandson, whom we hired it for was quickly bored.
Great tight script carried out with aplomb by a very talented young cast. Great fun, likeable characters, intriguing plot device ingenuity. And although it is perfect for late primary school/early high school audiences, there's plenty here for the adults as well. A great adventure flick with a decent moral message.

As far as the movie's concerned,it wasn't as good as i remembered.Quite a bit of bad language in it considering it's primarily a kids film and the plot is weak at best but still fun for the most part.

A bunch of friends (The Goonies) go on an epic adventure to find some pirate treasure and end up saving their homes and town in the process. It's full of adventure, danger, tricks and traps. The bad guys (the Fratellis) are hilarious too. All these years later I can still watch this movie and thoroughly enjoy it (hence my Blu-ray purchase). This one goes to prove that you don't have to fill a movie with sex, violence and swearing to enjoy a movie. Thank you to Richard Donner and Steven Spielberg for making this fantastic movie at just the right time in my life.
Now excuse me while I go do the Truffle Shuffle.
