Greys Anatomy follows the working lives of a group of young doctors as they entre the workplace first as interns, then in various positions in the hospital heirarchy, including intense exam periods, love affairs and marriages. Some of the surgery scenes are quite gory,shocking and repulsively realistic. But a) one gets used to them and b) let's be honest, accidents and illness do happen to every one until the very end. Somehow though this series is not depressing; on the contrary, it is a series of gripping adventures, triumphs and occasional faliures from which every one learns and grows.I had been following this series since its beginning,when I developed my own Chronic and life threatening illness; season eight aired when I was in hospital, and as soon as it became available I ordered it from Amazon. I STRONGLY recommend starting this adventure at season one.

As always a brilliant job done by the actors. Storylines keep you watching just one more episode before you realise you've now watched four in a row and you should have gone to bed ages ago!!! The charactors are so comfortable as they have grown each season that you feel their hurt, their pain and their joys when anything happens to them or those around them. When you reach the last story you can't wait until till the next season comes out because of the cliff-hangers that usually occur - especially if you can't watch the series on the tv channels they are aired on :( How the writers come up with the gripping episodes time after time to keep people tuned in waiting to see what happens is amazing. Once in a blue moon you think "What was that all about?" but 99% you are gripped to your seat and the episode flies by.

I own many boxed sets, all bought from Amazon. I bought the first complete Grey's Anatomy boxed set and spent weeks glued to it. Now I snap up every sequel. At first I was sent the set meant for viewing in USA and Canada so It would not play here in Ireland, but on informing Amazon of this mistake, they immediately credited me with the cost and did not require me to return it and also sent me the European zone set as soon as it came out. Excellent sales & PR, and even better value. Keep them coming!
