Heavy
Dina is off limits. She’s my brother Wall’s little sister. She’s wired different, and despite the malice aforethought, she’s innocent.
She wants me to help her bury a body.
I want to unravel her beautiful brain.
I want to let her explore me—and watch the light in her eyes when she discovers what she needs and how badly she needs it.
I want her.
I’m the Steel Bones Motorcycle Club president and CEO of Steel Bones Construction. Around here, I’m the last word and the first in the line of fire.
I’m Heavy Ruth.
I don’t get to have what I want.
Dina
He’s ruthless, and he knows how to dispose of a body. That’s all I’m looking for in a man.
I’m not catching feelings. I don’t do emotion. My frequency is sensation.
So what if he’s too much in the most mind-blowing way? So what if I’m curious about him—and I’m not curious about anyone.
This is just a conspiracy to commit murder.
Not love.
I might have said “I do,” but those are only words.
Right?
Heavy, the seventh book in the Steel Bones Motorcycle Club series, features Dina Wall, a crossover character from Hitting the Wall. Oh, yeah things like this just made this series so good. Do yourself a favor and read all of the books in this series because they are so worth it!
I went into this book blind, with no idea of storyline or plot. By the end of the second chapter I was fully engaged and almost finished it in one sitting.
I loved the fmc and throughly enjoyed watching her bedazzled and bewilder Heavy.
This was enjoyable, with a great amount of heat
Looking forward to reading more
Propositioning the president of a MC Club isn't the smartest decision, but Dina's way of thinking isn't exactly traditional. And it's not sex she's after. No she just needs somebody to bury a body for her. All good in theory, until Dina's demand creates way more strings than anticipated.
Heavy is hardened and disillusioned. Carrying the burdens of the club on his shoulders, he does not want to deal with a pint sized woman who has information that could tear everything he's built to the ground. He has no idea what to do with Dina, especially because he's oddly attracted to her and all her idiosyncrasies. So he proposes something crazier.
In a million years you would never think this relationship could work. I mean there are so many differing contrasts between Heavy and Dina. Yet every time they're in each other's bubble, the world melts away and you believe. There were so many kooky and delightful moments, I was bursting at the seams. My romantic heart was having a meltdown. And the sex, it was awkwardly divine. Yep you read that correctly.
This girl does not belong in Heavy's world, but to be fair Dina struggles to belong anywhere. But somehow they both contribute something very vital to each other. This story is certainly gritty in parts, but their extraordinary connection eclipsed everything else for me, in the best way.
Do yourselves a favour. If you feel you don't want to invest your time in a full MC series, read Heavy in the way I have as it crosses over two of this author's series which are interconnected and it's been awesome. In order to read them:

Dina’s only friend was attacked by her uncle, so she ran away. Dina’s family don’t seem to acknowledge the damage that her uncle has done to her friend and her family as her friend wasn’t the only person he hurt. Deciding that she needs to end all possibility of her uncle ever hurting her friend or anyone else again she decides to kill him. She believes that the best way to get away with this murder is to involve the Steel Bones MC who have experience is disposing of bodies.
Heavy is the President of the Steel Bones MC and he looks like a man mountain and a thug, when in actual fact he is a genius. His mental acuity has kept his club safe and profitable since he took over in a very difficult climate. Heavy has one obsession, making the men who destroyed his club and cost his brother his undamaged brain pay for their actions. However, he needs proof.
When Dina, an accomplished hacker, tells him she can provide that proof in exchange for help in disposing of her uncle’s body, he is in too minds of whether to kill her for exposing all the club secrets in her endeavours to find a way to obtain his help, or taking her to bed. His sister provides the solution in spousal privilege and they head off to Vegas to get hitched.
The relationship between these two main characters is a beautiful thing. Heavy is brilliant and has remained unchallenged by all the women of his acquaintance. Dina is the first person to actually interest him mentally as well physically, despite her not being his usual type. Dina is neurodivergent, which means Heavy never knows how she is going to react to something, whether is because she is overstimulated or simply the logical way in which she responds to things in ways that might seem hurtful to neurotypical people. As someone who has family members on the spectrum and has been in a relationship with someone on the spectrum for 20 years I love the insight this book provides to the way someone who is neurodivergent can experience the world and relationships.
Heavy loves the way Dina reacts to things and Dina loves the way Heavy makes her feel, especially his acceptance of her which is unusual. He makes her feel safe and cherished. Their ‘meet-cute’ is one of the most original I’ve ever read.
The plot is mainly focused on Dina and Heavy’s relationship but the way they met has a big impact on the plot too, with Dina’s determination to kill a family member and Heavy’s determination to get access to the information he needs. This book brings together several strands of this series and Hitting The Wall, which is quite complex and interesting. It makes the plot stand out for more than the romance aspect, it looks at morals and what you provided to accept in order to protect those you love.
I’ve enjoyed this series a lot and I can’t wait to see what this author does next.

A brother’s sister turns up insisting on help to commit to a crime, offering a carrot and waving a stick. Heavy can’t be soft. He can’t afford to be. But Dina makes him hard and he can’t resist following the little pixie into her devious scheme while walking the the fine line of keeping his club safe, finally putting an ancient and king running feud to rest, and keeping the pixie from crossing the line.
The solution is a surprising one.
Dina Wall is a girl with a grudge. A problem that she needs to make go away on behalf of the safety of her family and her ersatz sister. She decides the beast of a man who runs her brother’s MC is the man to approach. Dina struggles with being on the autism spectrum - moreover other people struggle with it; she gets along. But how will she fare blackmailing the terrifying genius who runs Steelbones? Will she even survive him?
If anyone can do it, Dina Wall knows she can do it. Actually doing it proves to be more challenging than either of them could ever have expected.
This is my favourite SBMC book - just. They’re all gold. If you’re new to the series it will be a fun introduction, if you’re familiar with them the find out the inner workings of the giant mastermind or SBMC works.

The ASD is well done in my opinion. I only didn't understand the FMC saying she doesn't like fiction. It's an outdated autism stereotype, and she mentions fiction a few times. Her only reading the first 50% of romance books is relatable. The break-up beat is something I just have to put up with or skip as a romance reader—yes, it sucked in this book too.
There is some ableism from side characters, but it's part of their roughness.
Though I dislike hymen breaking being included in romance books due to it encouraging the spread of incorrect information, I appreciate that the author had fingers tearing a hymen. I have read too many books where a penis magically does it, despite the woman having experienced other penetration.
