I decided to download the Italian translation of House of Gucci as, being an English person, it's helpful to read something in Italian from time to time if you know the language at level Intermediate + . It's a long story so be warned that unless you can read Italian at a reasonable speed, it will take forever! The Kindle version fortunately has the press the word and the translation comes up for those odd words that elude you! As to the story itself, I saw the film and that's what made me want to read the book. Obviously the film could only cover a certain amount of the Gucci story and it's interesting reading the extra details. I haven't finished it yet, but it's certainly recommendable.

La lettura è interessante, viene narrata tutta la storia dei Gucci e della loro azienda dai primi anni, ma in alcuni punti, a mio avviso, vengono descritte vicende e/o personaggi meno rilevanti in maniera troppo dettagliata facendo così discostare da quello che è il focus del libro. La lettura diventa lenta per riprendere bene successivamente. Lo consiglio perché comunque molte vicende sono davvero interessanti.

Si dilunga troppo sul racconto storico della famiglia Gucci! Pensavo fosse più avvincente, condiderando che la protagonista del film ispirato al libro é la grande Lady Gaga. Ho letto un paio di capitoli e l'ho chiuso nel cassetto. Peccato.
