5.0 out of 5 starsNothing to complain about
Reviewed in Australia on 9 April 2020
Mainly using it for PS4 (MW, Apex, etc). Usually solo play, sometimes party chat with mates. Using it for WFH online meetings as well.

Sound is great, good surround sound. Comfortable to wear during long periods (my ears fit perfectly inside). Not too heavy. Workmates say the sound is clear, although I look and sound like I'm about to report a crash on the Tulla from the helicopter.

All in all - great price for this quality. Arrived almost a week earlier than expected (Melb west suburbs). Good accessories. Highly recommended for any use.

1.0 out of 5 starsNOT HAPPY!
Reviewed in Australia on 30 August 2019
While the quality of gaming sound in my ears is probably pretty good and the mic clarity is good, The CONS (negatives, down-sides) OUT-WAY these PROS!
1. The detachable mic feature. I thought this would be a WONDERFUL feature, since i hate the mic being there when I'm not using it! The 1st time I detached it and re-attached it, I noticed it was already looser!!! <-- this is terrible! I've seen seen many complaints that they fall off and get looser over time!.
2. With a CHEAPER headset (by LG)... about half the price, I never had problems with the volume that I couldn't fix but with this one, there seems to be no SETTINGS to change it - there aren't even Windows mic settings for volume when it's the default mic item! This is AWFUL for recording video of gaming! <I had to do a work-around where i reduce all game sounds and reduce volume of GAME 'recording' while maxing out the volume of MIc recording at the recording sfotware end (NVidia/Geforce Experience aka Shadowplay)....VERY frustrating
3. The STUPID, POINTLESS dongle along the cord for headset Volume control (why do I need this??), gets snagged then rips apart, has a pointless 7.1Surround button, which i often find OFF (again, WHY have this option there) and a Mic volume which when i start a new game and ask other players, find that it's increasing my volume....I.e. My mic volume wasn't at Max for some reason...?...
^ This is all the opposite of what you want in a gaming headset and certainly not what I expected in a headset TWICE as expensive as the LG one I was using that DIDN'T HAVE THESE PROBLEMS!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Build Quality and Accessories
Reviewed in Australia on 27 February 2021
Colour: RedStyle: WiredVerified Purchase
My friends recommended this set and I'm not disappointed.

The build quality is excellent feeling very sturdy and comfortable, the option of leather or cloth earcups is a nice addition to hopefully suit everyone (I prefer the leather cups). The weight is more than I'm used to but is still comfortable and I'd rather have a set weigh a bit more than feel light and flimsy.

The microphone is adjustable thanks to a bendy wire however it doesn't have the best travel range so you can't just fold it out of your way when not in use, instead you have to unplug it which is a minor annoyance but worth noting.

Audio quality is good however bass is lacking and there is no way to control how much bass the headset has, which is something much older Razer headsets had control for. I'm sure there's probably some program that can do it but no control is built in. The surround sound feature I find just muddles the audio to an extent, especially for music, so I don't find myself using it. For gaming the sound is clear and directional audio works fine, although it is a little quiet compared to general media volume, at-least for the games I have played, but this just meant raising the volume up while in-game so no issues there.

Arrived very quickly, much before expected arrival date and I opted for free shipping so props to the courier for that one.

Overall I'm satisfied. Much cheaper than buying it in stores and is probably the best quality (especially in build) headset for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Gaming Headset
Reviewed in Australia on 8 December 2020
Colour: Gun MetalStyle: WiredVerified Purchase
I've been using this headset for a few days now and they've worked wonders, the sound quality is brilliant and is only made better by the HyperX audio dongle, specifically in video games. Outside of this however, the 7.1 enhancement feature isn't the best for watching videos or listening to music, as it does more to distort them, whereas with video games it serves to make positioning and other noises far clearer. Aside from this, even without use of the audio enhancement feature the headset manages to impress with both audio and mic quality.

Has a premium feel to the materials. Great sound.
Missing a feature to mix microphone sound into headphones, making it difficult to hear yourself if you use the leather ear pads. Not so much of a problem if you use the supplied foam pads.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome for PC and PS4. Great with Xbox One and phone, too.
Reviewed in Australia on 2 January 2020
Colour: RedStyle: Wired
The USB amp works with both PC and PS4, which is a pretty awesome feature as it produces a great surround sound effect. Works well with both Xbox One (plugged into controller) and phone using the 3.5mm plug. Basically, a great multi-platform headset.

Build quality is also excellent. I've been using them regularly for almost two years and none of the materials (PU?) have any cracks or wear marks. I'm always attaching and detaching the flexible microphone, which I thought would wear it out fairly quickly, but the connection still remains solid.

I've got a fairly large head (helmet size 62) and the headphones need to be fully extended to fit properly. That worried me at first, as I would've liked to extend them a touch more. However, it turned out they've always been very comfortable.

Bottom line is that if this one ever wears out, or breaks, I'll be buying the latest evolution of a HyperX Cloud II.

5.0 out of 5 stars Auf der Suche nach einer günstigen und gleichzeitig besseren Alternative zu Logitech, Roccat und Co.?
Reviewed in Germany on 26 July 2018
Colour: RedStyle: WiredVerified Purchase

Warum?

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Guide to buying headphones below 10K.
Reviewed in India on 18 July 2018
Colour: Gun MetalStyle: WiredVerified Purchase
I was initially looking for a good wireless headset with long battery backup under 10K and did a lot of research, read a lot of reviews, made a list of officially available headphones on Amazon and Flipkart but found that all the wired headphones sound much better than wireless ones (even the wireless ones when connected through aux cable) and so finally ended buying a wired one and hope to use it with a wireless Bluetooth receiver.

I needed a headphone with good sound reproduction

My primary Usage were listening music, watching movie, video/audio/Skype calls etc and gaming or basically I needed a headphone that can be comfortable for longer duration. For a good sounding headphone we look for Bass(low 20Hz-250Hz), Mids(250Hz-2KHz) and Treble(High 2KHz-20KHz). I needed a headphone with good natural sound reproduction (not favoring any particular frequencies like extra Bass etc) as these affects other frequencies and Sound Stage (Surround Sound Effects). These are the headphones I finalized according to my budget.

Wireless -

SteelSeries Arctis 7 - best wireless ones in my budget, had good balanced sound with app support but these had their own USB transmitter (no Bluetooth). Can not use with mobile and fire stick unless I have the transmitter USB powered at all times. Bulky than average and tight. Was only in my budget on Prime Day. I personally don't like these kind of headbands.

Plantronics BackBeat PRO 2 - another good choice but its price never dropped and was not able to find any reliable seller. There are lot of look alike fakes of headphones so I just wanted to get mine from reliable source.

JBL E55BT, Skullcandy Grind, Skullcandy Hesh 3, Skullcandy Hesh 2 JBL, JBL T450 BT - Have mentioned them in order of how they sound. JBL E55BT being the best. These are all good Bluetooth headphones.

Sennheiser HD 4.50 BT - Was only in my budget on prime day. These headphones pack a lot of premium features but for all those the quality is just average. Bass is good on these while other sounds are average, Active Noise Cancellation is also average. They have very basic simple looks and tight fit (some user complained of pain after wearing for long hours). Unfortunately they were unavailable by evening on Prime day (I guess although labelled as deal of the day, they got sold our before day was over).

Sennheiser HD 4.40 BT - Somewhat similar like Sennheiser HD 4.50 BT minius the ANC. Reviews say sound is more balanced on these but unfortunately no discount was given on these on Prime day or at least in time period when I was searching for headphones.

Sony MDR-ZX330BT, Sony MDR-XB650BT - Good ones but with Over bass (good for Bass lovers), Sony does not provide aux cable port for these. So these are purely wireless. I was looking for Sony MDR-XB950B1 but price never dropped to my budget.

Wired -

In wired we have lot of options with great sound and value for money. So we have to look for the ones matching our requirements.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50x, Audio-Technica ATH-M40x - One of the best headphones under 10K. Exceptional well balanced sound reproduction. Lacks any kind of audio button or control. No Mic so had to drop these from the list. But If I ever get a chance to buy headphone in future I will go for these.

Sennheiser HD 598 SR - Bass is below average on these. Other things are good and even has Mic and I found it later. But nothing exceptional to prove it value for money when already ATH-M series are there.

SteelSeries Siberia 200 - Reviewers say these are the best budget wired gaming headset but couldn't find a likable color option and reliable seller.

Brainwavz HM5, Shure SRH440, Beats EP Wired, Sony MDR-7506, Sennheiser HD 280 Pro, Audio Technica ATH-M20x - Few other wired headphones in order based on sound. Few have mics and few don't.

I finalized on 4 headphones - Sennheiser HD 4.50 BT, HyperX Cloud, HyperX Cloud 2, HyperX Revolver. Sennheiser was unavailable by the time I reached a decision.

Now comes my Review of HyperX Cloud 2 and why I choose it.

Pros -
- Wired Connectivity options (both 3.5mm and USB available)
- Removable Mic
- Additional Ear Cups
- Tangle free braided cable
- Definitely loud on same volume levels. Tried different headphones and earphone using same source and volume level and this was loudest.
- Strong and Sturdy build. You can feel the build quality by looking at the thick aluminum parts. Nice finishing too.
- Well balanced sound. Good deep bass (with thump and punch but not over boomy) and Excellent Mids (well-balanced vocals and lead instruments).
- Sounstage effect can be increased using the USB with box on PC to give 7.1 surround sound. It definitely broadens the sound in games and movies.
- Heavy padding on headband and ear cups.
- Noise isolation is good. Blocks outside sound to some good level
- Well balanced weight. Pressure is spread evenly around ears.
- No tightness or clamping force felt while wearing.
- Ability to control Mic and Audio volume and Mute through USB.
- Excellent Mic sound with boom. Speech recorded is clear, full, detailed and natural. Some reviews even say Mic on these are better than that of Arctis 7.
- Last but most important, excellent in breathability and comfort. Can easily use for long durations without any problem. I have glasses and big ears and it was a smooth fit for me. My whole ear were completely under the ear cups.

Cons -
- Although this is an upgraded version of HyperX Cloud the reviews say sound is almost similar so I paid the additional 2.5K only for USB connectivity and 7.1 surround sound box.
- HyperX Revolver was priced too close to HyperX Cloud 2 in sale, and is slightly better sounding and definitely has better Soundstage. Still Cloud 2 is marginally better in Comfort and Build.
- The aux cable length is small So, if you are not using the USB with box the cable falls short even using with laptop
- The aux cable is not detachable.
- Without the USB 7.1 box when using with 3.5mm connection the Sound effect is just average
- I observed that these leak sound too much, and if its not on head you can clearly hear the music playing like mini speaker at medium volume
- Treble is just average.
- 7.1 surround sound is useless for medium that doesn't support audio through USB input.
- Although it is super comfortable, it is still bulky at 306 grams.
- I am not sure why but I was not able to find much sound difference between this one and Boat Rockerz 600 I used earlier. I was confused whether this can be called an upgrade. I will know more after using cloud 2 for some time. I will update my experience here after few months of usage.

These were just my initial observations. I will update the Review after using them for some time.

UPDATE -
After 2 months of Usage I have to say quality of this headset is very good especially the cables. Looks like I just brought them yesterday. The memory foam on ear cups have adjusted well for my years. I rarely used the USB 7.1 surround sound. It does not seems to do much. Sound is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent headset for ps5
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 October 2021
Colour: Gun MetalStyle: WiredVerified Purchase
This is the best headset by far that works with the PS5 and is very very comfortable not like the PULSE! You can have this headset on for hours without feeling any fatigue at all.
It is excellent for FPS and it also features 7.1 surround sound but tbh your better of not using that for gaming, but movies sound excellent with it on. This headset is definitely way better than the SONY PULSE HEADSET that is made for the PS5, it also works with the 3D sound on the PS5 and this is cheaper, you don't have to worry about charging it as it is wired.
The wire is just over 3 meters long and has the sound card built into it with headset volume and mic volume and has the 7.1 surround sound button right in middle for easy control.
It also comes with spare cloth earpads for the headset and a bag to keep I all in.
I would definitely recommend this to any PS5 owner as it is a minefield out there atm and until the next gen headsets are out this is definitely the best choice.

Great headset. I've had loads of issues with headsets (usually caused by my running over them with my chair) but this one is tough. The main feature I like is that the microphone is on a proper gooseneck (meaning it can be adjust/run-over without breaking) and that it is easily removable for times you want to throw it into your bag and transport it.
Sound quality is fantastic. You can use it via a USB connector or you can just slide off the USB connector as use it as a normal 3.5mm mobile phone headset.
I use mine a lot for business phone calls, so the quality of the microphone has been very important to me. The microphone quality on this one is far better than the headsets I have used from Plantronics, Microsoft etc and I am very happy with it.
In fact, after several months of great service from the first one I bought, I just bought a second for my other PC.
