Dash & Cassidy

I just love this series. The Kingston family are all kinds of wonderful and I enjoy reading how they support one another no matter what.
Truthfully I am not a fan of rockstar romances, but that’s on me as I am not a fan of celebrities in general. Needless to say Carly with her words and outstanding storytelling has probably made me reassess my opinions - but only of the fictional kind.
Dash & Cassidy’s story was a beautiful, sexy & heart wrenching read. I enjoy reading romance novels in dual POV, and their story really needed to be written this way, well for me anyway, as I just had to know how both characters were thinking and feeling. It made more realistic for me. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Dash had been living the wild lifestyle of a rockstar but when things were getting out of hand it was decided that he needed a fake girlfriend to help him through this. Cassidy’s brother had just joined the band and she wanted to help him out so she would be the person that Dash needed…only thing is that this is the same girl that he left in the dust before.

Cassidy wasn’t going to let him in so the “fake” part she was going to take seriously. The problem with that was that Dash really did have feelings for her and was set out to prove he was a better guy. Sure, there was plenty of chemistry happening but would she be willing to open herself up to Dash yet again?

Just One Spark is book 4 in The Kingston Family series, a story that has all the feels.

Dash needs to lay low, after a the recent paternity suit he knows he needs to change his ways, he wants to find what his siblings have. The one problem is that he screwed up with the 1 girl that made him think about more. The kicker? now he is asked to start a fake relationship with her, except that fine line between pretending and reality is starting to blur.

I personally enjoyed this story, i love a good 2nd chance especially a reformed bad boy!

Each book in Carly Phillips' Kingston Family series just keeps getting better, and JUST ONE SPARK is definitely my favourite. I've been waiting for rock star Dash Kingston's story, and it was worth the wait. JUST ONE SPARK was such an enjoyable read. It was a fun, sexy, hot, emotional, occasionally dramatic ride that had me hooked on every word. A story of second chances, not just in love, but in life.

" ... there was something about this woman that affected him ... He wasn't a romantic ... but one look at her porcelain skin, delicate nose, full lips, jade eyes he could get lost in, and he felt a connection."

Dash Kingston has never been a saint, especially when it comes to women. Scandals follow him, and the current one could see his life change forever. His PA suggests he find a fake girlfriend, settle down, and concentrate on his music. The problem with his PA's suggestion ... she's picked the band's assistant to be that "girlfriend". An assistant who he spent the night with, got scared, and ran out on ... a woman he finds himself attracted to, a woman he needs to apologise to. Cassidy Forrester has had her heart broken several times. She's wary of men and relationships and is definitely wary of Dash. Agreeing to be Dash's fake girlfriend was not going to be easy ... especially on her heart.

"No matter how dangerous this situation was to her emotions, she'd already decided she was all in. All but her heart."

I really enjoyed this story. Carly Phillips has written a beautiful story about two people who needed a second chance both in love and life. Alone, they appear to be lost in their direction, together they are a strong unit, offering each other understanding, comfort, friendship, and love. I love how Dash is determined to show Cassidy that he wants to make up for his past mistake. He's protective of her, he wants her to know that what he feels for her is real, every action he does for Cassidy is swoonworthy and made my heart melt. Cassidy is afraid of having her heart broken again, even though she too has feelings for him. They deserved a second chance together after everything that had happened in their pasts.

"If I can't use my rock star status to make you happy, what good is it?"

This was such a wonderful story. I loved both Dash and Cassidy, all their weaknesses and strengths, the way in which their relationship developed through a mutual need for love and support. I always enjoy it when the rest of the Kingston family become involved, there's plenty of laughter and some good sound of advice. Oh! Just who is Aurora's baby-daddy? Her reaction to a certain male at a social event definitely has my mind thinking. That is going to be one juicy story.

JUST ONE SPARK my favourite Kingston read.

Dash Kingston, rock star, musician, song writer is waiting for the results of a paternity test and his band's manager thinks it's a perfect time for a party. NOT.

With so much on his mind he sneaks from his house to his brother's just down the road for some peace. Unfortunately, the rest of the band follows him, leaving Cassidy alone to wrangle the groupies and the entourage. His future sister-in-law Sasha will have none of that and goes to collect her from the fray. Cassidy's their new drummer Axel's sister and the group's personal assistant for now, until her new position with Harrison Dare's production company begins.

No one knows about Cassidy and Dash's one night. Dash proved he could be a real jerk by leaving while she slept. All because he couldn't handle the feelings he suddenly had.

With the paternity suit behind him, an interviewer goes after the band with off limits questions leading Naomi, the band's PR person to suggest that Dare needs a down to earth, steady girlfriend. The person she's eying for that job is Cassidy. Axel is not a fan of the idea, but Cassidy seems willing to at least discuss it.

Instead of discussing it in front of everyone, Dash orders the car to stop and takes Cassidy for ice cream to figure it out.

Of course, there are going to be many ups and downs with this. Some caused by that road manager who just can't seem to stay out of things. There are some things meant to stay private and that gets totally violated.

I love the way this plays out. Cassidy and Dare are truly meant for each other. They just have to figure out how to make it work.

Just when I think I’ve had my fıll of billionaire romance, this crafty lady reminds me once again what there is to love about them. Then she sets the story in the rock star world, and I already know it's going to be an excellent read!

Super star Dash Kingston's personal life is a mess. With one scandal too many, his PR guru suggests a fake girlfriend to show the world he's settled and serious about his music. Except his perfect girlfriend is not only the band's personal assistant and his bandmate's sister, but someone he has a lot of groveling to do in order to get back into her good graces. For some reason, Cassidy Forrester agrees to help out Dash and the band, but she’s determined to keep her heart out of the equation.

It always amazes me how much emotion this talented wrıter infuses into a shorter length romance. It takes a skillful wrıter to evoke such a vast array of feelings in the reader while being economical with word count. She succeeds at it brilliantly, like no one else I’ve ever seen.

I quickly fell in love with these characters and absolutely had to see how things would work out. Between the fake relationship becoming less and less fake and an addition element of some fabulous angst, I devoųred this one quickly. Funny but heartfelt, and sėxy but poignant, this masterfully written, phenomenal read is a fantastic way to start the new year!

Sensual, sweet and so very satisfying! JUST ONE SPARK is book four in The Kingston Family series by Carly Phillips and picks up with rock star Dash and the trouble he's managed to get himself into. We met his love interest Cassidy in Xander's book previously as Sasha's BFF/assistant. Sparks flew the minute Dash and Cassidy were in the same room as the other in that book, so we knew we were going to be in for a good time when they got together. I love this family and this series and now that a major seed has been planted I absolutely cannot wait to get Aurora's story next!

Dash is an interesting character because we are led to believe he's led this life of fun and debauchery, but we only know him as a loving brother and a down-to-earth guy who wants to change his way of living for the better. I enjoyed him and his sensitive side a lot.

Cassidy was a great secondary character in Sasha and Xander's story so to see her get her own happily ever after was really sweet.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a high-powered group of siblings working through the simplicities of family life as drama, love and business unravel around them.

This is Dash and Cassidy story. She was the one that got away, his one night that wouldn't be forgotten. Especially because the one girl who finally made him feel something didn't go away, she was in is life to stay. After their one night together, Cassidy is determined to keep her relationship with Dash as professional as possible. After thinking she misread the whole night, Cassidy agrees to be the assistant for her brothers new rock band. Which also happens to be with the one band with a sexy lead singer she would love to forget.

After months of trying to forget his one night with Cass, Dash is thrown into a nightmare of being accused of fathering a child with a woman he doesn't remember. Knowing his life needs to change, and realizing he let the one woman he would want to be with down by leaving the morning after, he makes a proposal. Be his pretend girlfriend!! Cass doesn't want know what to think but she also is so insanely attracted to Dash it's hard to say no to him when she wants nothing more than to be that special one. Dash is determined to show Cass he's changing and it's because of the feelings he experienced those months ago during his one and only night with her. What is pretend to Cass isn't so much to Dash but he has no idea the depth of his feelings and how much this one woman will come to mean to him.

I adore this story, these characters that Carly brought to life in Just One Spark is magical. It's always refreshing to read a new book from Carly and see how she brings her families together into one big story and also makes her feature couple sparkle! Dash and Cassidy not just your normal rock star baby scare story.. they have a special connection, a spark that came before this story took place and this book just expands on that connection and how true love will find a way despite misunderstandings and time apart.
