This book is a wonderful compilation of ghost stories and gothic tales. There are over 560 stories to choose from, so there is something in here for everyone. Most authors and well-known tales of the genre are all included; authors like Poe, Lovecraft, James, Benson, Bierce, Machen and Le Fanu. A few are missed out. For example, I could not find any of the short stories by H.G. Wells. Nor any of the tales by the writer Algernon Blackwood. But this is only a minor quibble. For this is an excellent book of horror and a perfect companion for readers of the genre like myself.
I hope you find my review helpful.
