Probably a good holiday book. Easy reading with a bit of a twist but doesn’t stretch one too much. Enjoyable but I wasn’t hooked and had to remind myself to finish it. However it was a sweet story with nice characters and not the typical happy ever after plot.
As I came to the end just now I was in tears. How do you do it Emma? This is so beautifully written in every aspect, so different. You draw us into the lives of your characters and you feel for all their emotions.
This is a beautiful story to loose yourself in. Heartache, love, searching for answers. Being lied to. Bullying. Mother & Child not knowing what to do for the best. I actually think it would make a good TV drama.
I absolutely adore Emma Davies as a writer, each book is individual, so well written, always leaving the reader wanting more. This book I read in two sessions (as I couldn’t put it down) sent my emotions up and down with every turn of the page.... just an excellent book. Would really recommend. Unfortunately I’ve now read all her books, what am going to do now 🙁
I really enjoyed this book. There were lots of twists and turns along the way to keep me on my toes. I found it really gripping - towards the end I couldn’t put it down. I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author.
I was absolutely hooked from the first page and couldn’t wait to read to the end, all the way enjoying the story unfold, the scene set amazingly for the journey to the island, willing Abby to see what was staring her in the face! Utter joy, thank you Emma!
